Division D
SLancaster (Carthaginian) beat youngr (Samnite) 63%-41%.
This was a real slugfest. General youngr gave a great account of himself. Samnite warriors are very tough! Thanks for the game!

Re: New to sanctum reach
A mob of Shooters and Sluggers together with Super Kannon(s), Flash Gitz, and Weird Boy would be tough to beat. Add in some lucky or precise hits from the War Biker and you are laughing..

SLancaster 0.00 (Carthaginian, Hannibal in Italy 216-203BC) beat Tresantes 1.67 (Pyrrhic 280-277BC) 42-16.
It was a very hard fight with both of us going for it. It swung one way and then the next. Thanks, Mr T!

Re: Any chance for real new gameplay features (not just new units) in the future ?
This isn't a feeling we have ;), it is based on sales vs the number of people playing MP games on the server. This was also true back in the days of RTS's like Dune or C&C. Even taking into account the rise in MP popularity the vast majority of players never play MP on any game. Cheers Pip I take y...

Re: Any chance for real new gameplay features (not just new units) in the future ?
I don’t believe that 90% of players only play sp. Mp battles are the key element of any wargame. One reason being that the AI is usually so poor compared to human players. Sp mode and the campaigns should still be improved, though. There are people only really interested in campaigns. This isn't a ...

5. Larger armies In reply to Pete mentioning in another thread that some players didn’t seem to stick with the game I think larger armies would be one attraction. In Sanctus Reach you can play 2000 point games, 5000 point games and go all the way up to 10000 point games. I actually prefer the smalle...

Re: Any chance for real new gameplay features (not just new units) in the future ?
I just want to say that these type of PC tactical wargames attract players who only play mp battles. Bunny and I are two of them. In other games of a similar ilk like Chaos Reborn and Sanctus Reach there were plenty of players who only played mp battles. I think it is wrong to say that most players ...

Re: Cannae: Countering a wide Roman formation.
There is a lot of Carthaginian cavalry to fight which you need to take care of. The battle was really tight until near the end. It might have been 60% to 54% or so I forget the exact number.

After saying that the devil offers restarts I do have a situation in one of my league games where my opponent is sitting up on a 300 metre hill with practically his entire army..
