the tercios are really good if you can get into hand to hand combat...an early tercio will handle 3 pike and shot....but getting into combat without disrupting is very difficult, especially against an experienced player with a gentle hill near his base line for him to emplace his batteries snigger ...

Just an update:- Andre and I are having a right old seesaw...could be anyone's, with one or two turns to go...it's nail-biting stuff! The ratio is currently at 49-47 with both sides licking their wounds and no fresh troops...where's those reinforcements I sent for Brian!

It just worries me that large armies would extend playing time, which may discourage players from entering more periods, or increase a dropout rate. Moreover, a large Arab conquest would be just a nightmare. :roll: Then again, it does works well in EMA...now I'm just confused :?
