Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

Germans starting to pay but I imagine with their Industrial Tech and plenty of Axis Minors absorbing casualties we will never get them below 75% threshold in 1943!

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

Russian troops fight and Red Wings fight but get scorched in the air vs superior Luftwaffe units and face a firm line of Germans that won't bust. So we will not liberate the Motherland, no matter what. Weather does not matter at this tech level so much..just a tiny tiny bit http://i57.tinypic.com/jk...

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

Some assorted screenshots, The Russians did manage to grind through another Severe Winter! Whether Fortress Urals can last the long May to October season remains to be seen. The Allies are finally wrestling away the Oceans from the Axis, but it's not going to be easy to find an entrance in '43 into ...

Re: Ronnie vs Allied Player (Allied Player Please Stay Out)

The guy still has Moscow at this point  hard to say he's toast in game terms perhaps...he could have a secret Russian Task Force?

Re: Ronnie vs Allied Player (Allied Player Please Stay Out)

This Allied player is having a hard time, there appears to be a pocket of Russian troops near Moscow about to get encircled!

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

1942, December, first severe winter in the East: Germany halts it's advance into the Urals. Germany continues it's advance into The Caucasus, cutting off the neck via Real Estate near Astrakahn. Russian Northern sector is dead(likely due to the fact there is nothing there but Russians and trees. Eve...

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

Beginning of September 1942. The 2nd Baku captured! http://i59.tinypic.com/ea1e7c.png What I needed? 10 more Army Corps, about 10 hexes further retreat... I have never seen a Russian situation remotely close to this personally and I should not have underestimated my opponent by reading year old AARs...

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

Be nice to have a playback feature for that : ) but that Strato did the job! Right now it's coming up on October, Stalingrad has fallen. There is little or no Russian Army left, 50% of it has been wiped out on the way to The Urals. Apparently despite the great timeline(quick quick France partly due ...

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

The tactical bombers(5-6 at least in the middle or more with Minors) of The Axis crushed the Army Corps will to fight in the initial little tiny screenies you saw, allowing this encirclement despite running as far as we can and despite having almost on par numbers with the Germans. The German units ...

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

Although I thought that Moscow would be taken, I did not expect an overall front collapse considering I used my Rivers but there has been intense air battles where the German Fighters and their Axis Minors have won hands down. Some losses but with such achievement, crushing our Center completely. Cu...

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

Battle of the Atlantic: In a Side Theater, a German Destroyer is killed, another damaged...some pinging back and forth but our Navy is still not strong enough to go after the High Tech Power of the Kriegsmarine! Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

The Clear Season Campaign Season 1942: The Axis have launched massive Attacks! Should have retreated a lot further back than I had during Severe and Regular Winter..though even after running as far as I could after an initial shock attack, it was not far enough! Morris just keeps coming after me! Mo...

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

Are you playing with GS v3.10 (XP boosts unit stats)? No, old fashioned 3.0, I think if I had put all the BEF in France I may have delayed Morris to May on France, that's a possibility but he stormed right on through Poland/Low/Countries and France with 63 steps lost in total. Probably one of the b...

Re: Morris vs BattleVonWar

Okay Morris is now lined up right on Moscow, April to May Weather is clearing for an offensive for him, 1942: I count in the lower 30 German Army Corps, probably low Armor due to the fact so much investment in Subs/Surface Ships to keep the Americans and British out of France. He may have 4-5 Tanks ...

Re: max vs battle(Allies)

In the end the defensive might of the Axis proved to be too much for me. I just could not resist Max's superior tactics or strategies. Although he kept it thoroughly enjoyable, I think he must have gone soft on me as I felt as some point or another he could have steamrolled me off the map if he real...

Re: max vs battle(Allies)

Last Winter, Turn 99: Axis are on the move in NorthWest Africa, pushing back our fighters and taking real-estate and moving in reinforcements. Also on the move in Jordan where Americans now are pretty much the primary fighting force, as more and more British Units go down in a blaze of glory defendi...

Re: Ronnie vs Allied Player (Allied Player Please Stay Out)

Stauffenberg is right, I have pushed back the Western Allies in my last Axis game at least half a dozen times(even Italian and Axis Minor Units can be effective there as they gain tech) in France railing in higher organized units while the Western Allied Units are completely weak and unable to stand...
