Re: Is there a way to artificially increase casualties count?
What I meant was to increase the rout % automatically regardless of field casualties; but if that value is a direct function of the field casualties, then I suspect that could be an unsurmountable problem. The issue with adjusting the rout % for each side in the victory condition is that the superio...

Re: TDC V Later Medieval 1320-1500AD - Reserve slots available
Eric pushed me in.
Armies to follow...
1. French (1484-1500)
2. Low Countries (1488-1500)
This makes 40, we still could use a reserve or two.

Re: Is there a way to artificially increase casualties count?
OK thanks. It's a mechanism that I use extensively, and not only to model lopsided battles.

Is there a way to artificially increase casualties count?
Suppose army A is trying to destroy army B within a limited amount of turns. Since B is basically unable to inflict damage on A to the extent needed to win, it can only win by delaying its destruction for as long as possible. One way to make that a possibility is to have A artificially lose a certai...

Re: When do you dismount lancers?
Not so sure that the Turkic horsemen fighting with the Khwarazmians differed from the Turkic horsemen fighting with the Ayyubids. They're all part of the same cultural continuum. The difference in outcome doesn't negate the fact that they could and did dismount and could and did remount since their ...

Re: When do you dismount lancers?
I was more thinking about horse archers, rather than heavy cavalry, who don't seem to send their horses to the rear but kept them close by. Battle of Parwan 1221 , "And when they attacked the TÂTÂRS, he spake to the men of his bodyguard, and they all dismounted, and each man took (i.e. led) his...

Is the inability to remount during the battle
a historical fact or a coding constraint?

Re: Armies of Third Crusade?
I don’t know much about this period so just read on the Wiki and then it seems that the Christian forces at the battle of Arsuf were multi-national: English, French, and Outremer. But what if they hadn’t combined their forces? This is excellent historical immersion, Itinerarium Ricardi Regis, the m...

Re: Armies of Third Crusade?
The German contingent broke up after Frederick's death before its arrival. But they did fight the Seljuks of Rum extensively in Anatolia. Another Muslim faction could be the Zengids of Mosul and northern Syria whom Saladin only partially subdued. His attempt to seize Mosul failed just before the Hat...

I like to run games at the default settings, without having to lower them. Would it be fair to say that a RTX 4050 would be more than sufficient for the next 3-5 years?

computer requirements
My present windows laptop, 12th gen i7, 16gb ram, runs the game fine but I'll be in the market for a new one and, not knowing anything about the graphical requirements of future games of the series, would you recommend getting one with a discrete gpu or would it be overkill here?
