I would like to throw in my hat in here as well for any Civil War 3 development or AgeOD for that matter!

Let's make it happen Slitherine. There's always a market for good American Civil War games and I know for a fact I'd immediately pre-order if a CW3 was announced.

I would definitely be interested in this. Improved AI would be my main desired feature.
I would also love to see a Pride of Nations and Wars of Napoleon sequel on the new engine, with improved speed and stability respectively.

Re: Civil War III
Bump for Slitherine.
I am curious what sort of monetary return you might need to see for this game to see the light of day, and if a Kickstarter hosted by Slitherine or Ageod would be persuasive?
I think Grand Tactician has been reasonably successful, so it shows there is demand for an American Civil War game. But GT, while it has merit in some aspects, is also quite lacking. Frankly, real time doesn't work for this sort of game. The WEGO system is perfect, and imho no Civil War game has surpassed Ageod's. So we return. AACW3? What would it take?

Re: Civil War III
I am late to this party, but no less enthusiastic to see a new version of Civil War. It's a terrific game, and it deserves to have new life breathed into it.
ESPECIALLY if Philippe Thibault and Pocus can be brought back to develop it!
I don't pre-order many games these days, but this is one I have already counted out the money for.

Re: Civil War III
As a person who has played many strategies, including the Europe and Victoria series from the Swedish company Paradox, I can say: Civil War II is an excellent strategy, and games from AGEOD are generally an example of this genre. Superbly designed, well thought out, historically verified. Hope the third part will be good as well.
Re: Civil War III
If Civil War III gets made, please take steps to ensure it will work on larger monitors and the fonts are large enough to be easily read. The AGEOD titles have many problems and become unplayable to those with larger monitors, requiring many work-arounds and head-aches to function properly if at all. More and more people use large monitors these days.

I'm sure it'll be a good game, but I'm also sure that AGEod would do it betterzakblood wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 10:15 am https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 8&t=382564
may now take a while longer maybe

Re: Civil War III
I'd buy Civil War III and all of the other games if they remade them with an updated engine.

A friend and I are working on a mod for CWII that you might want to check out and you can do so here: http://ageod-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=340&t=54285.
