For those looking for some good basic historical strategy gaming fun (notice I did not call it a war game) - here is a recent release on the App Store:

https://itunes.apple.com/app/id14210809 ... mpt=uo%3D4

Partially card driven but also with unit counters on the map that account for Land, Sea and Air battles.

A number of scenarios are available - from ancient Rome through the Middle Ages -> WW1 / WW2 and to the Arab Israeli Wars.

I'm playing the Normandy scenario right now as the Allies and am having a good time.

Worth giving a try IMO .....

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the release. I like the scenarios. And the game is really great - tried it on iPad so far.

I'm glad you liked it as well Dr.

The base game is now on sale for .99 cents on the AppStore - so a good time for others if they are interested.

I'm playing in 3 time periods at the moment - Waterloo 1815, Tannenberg 1914 and Berlin 45 and am having fun with all ...

I completely agree and hope they keep converting more scenarios to IOS.

I'm hoping Austerlitz will be next after Korea 1950.
