Civil War III
We've expressed a good amount of interest in a Civil War III at the Ageod forum. What would it take for a remake of the classic?

Re: Civil War III
Civil War III would be a dream for me ... new engine, better dynamic AI, maybe an expanded command structure, better brigade make-up for divisions ... so many things - big & little - could allow Civil War II to morph into an even better classic!

Lets make this happen please!

I made a few suggestions regarding "brigade make-up for divisions" in the Civil War II forum. You may have seen it.

Re: Civil War III
Make it happen, superb title it's about time now for a new release!
Re: Civil War III
I almost never pre-order games but I would for Civil War III. This war needs an updated game. Please consider making one.
Re: Civil War III
I would love to see it. I've played many full campaigns of CWII and it certainly qualifies as one of the better (if not best) operational representations of the ACW.

Re: Civil War III
Yes, please, please go ahead with a new Civil War. CW2 is/was by far the most confounding, challenging, and immersive CW game I've played, and I believe I've played nearly every one of them in the past what -- 30 years? Probably . . . .
I'm ready for a new challenge!
(and btw, when you're done with that one, a new Pride of Nations would be even more peachy! )

Well, if the stars align, something new and exciting might be a genuine possibility. Let us not count our chickens before they hatch, however

The current ACW game is next on my Steam wish list. A new one would be purchased as soon as it became available.

Re: Civil War III
What new features would you all most like to see do you think?
Re: Civil War III
I too am happy to pay up right know to kickstart this.
I would love to see a shorter turn-cycle. Lincoln got to micromanage battles in Northern Virginia by telegraph in real time. (Not that that was a good idea....) I love simultaneous resolution, but giving two weeks worth of orders always felt like a Hail Mary since so much would happen that made the second week a wild guess compared to the first. This created a staggered pace, where odd-numbered weeks stayed somewhat on track, and even-numbered weeks were wacky.
I do understand that communications are not instant, or maybe even good. I think that can be handled pretty well by the activation system, maybe with a negative modifier for distance from HQ. That would also make senior leaders more needful, even when they are not very competent.
Good Luck!

Re: Civil War III
There were/are tentative plans to move ahead with a few things before the events of the past 6 weeks or so. Hopefully we'll pick that up again soon and move ahead with it
