20 years of thank you!

Add an old wargamer's congratulations to the pile. As long as you accommodate to the traditional wargamer's digital dalliances, then we will continue to support your products. All the best for another 20 years and beyond.
Re: 20 years of thank you!
Congratulations! I discovered Slitherine games thanks to my iPad. I've spent countless hours playing the Battle Academy saga. Now I feel we iPad users are somehow forgotten, I hope you will soon issue new games for iPad.

Re: 20 years of thank you!
Congrats!. I remember seeing the Slitherine booth at a miniatures convention many years ago and remember thinking oh a PC game company showing up - that is cool! I never knew that Legion was the first success - I still have my copy!
Cheers

Incredible achievement to get Slitherine to where it is today.

Congratulations on reaching 20 years. The games and your support staff have always been terrific. Best of luck on the next twenty.
Re: 20 years of thank you!
I remember watching my Dad play Legion when it first came out. He was so exited about it, the fact it had the names of all the Italian tribes!
Can't believe it's been 20 years! Here's looking forward to the next 20!

Well done fellas! I have enjoyed Matrix and Slitherine games for a good long time now. Continued good luck to you all.
Re: 20 years of thank you!
"Matrix Games was founded by David Heath in 1999 in Staten Island, New York City. As of January 2010, Matrix Games has published over 75 titles. Matrix has in-house artists, programmers, and producers which all take active roles in projects of smaller wargame developers who lack the resources to hire full-time staff otherwise.amarok23 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 2:34 pm Congrats! Couldn't have happened to nicer, more supportive folks. Feels like I've known you guys forever, like we're old friends... I even remember when you went by your old nickname of 'Matrix Games'
For me it started with Spartan and Gates of Troy. Man, that was an amazing series. I wish it could have continued. Then I loved Tin Soldiers - J.C. and Alex, and on and on. Actually, more Ancients Era titles in general would be great.
Been wonderful to see you grow and get huge licenses like Warhammer and Battlestar Galactica. It's truly impressive!
Your games have really enriched my life, so thanks gents!!
In May 2010, Matrix Games and Slitherine announced a merger of the two companies making it the largest wargaming specialist publisher. Matrix Games pioneered the move into digital delivery, minimizing costs to customers and providing them with an interactive environment. They have signed some of the best known[citation needed] developers in the strategy / Wargaming market from established wargames developers like Gary Grigsby, John Tiller, Mark Walker, Don Gilman, Norm Korger, Panther Games, and Strategic Studies Group to innovators as well as classic titles from TalonSoft, Boku Strategy Games and the Close Combat series."
Matrix Games has a companion site to Slitherine's. They look almost identical but their forums, for obvious reasons, has content from uses more familiar with Matrix. The nice thing is that a purchase made on either site is saved on both, and the same logon applies to both sites as well. It's great because if you don't see a topic or question on one forum, it might be on the other. I'm not sure how old the Slitehrine forums are, but I was signed up on the Matrix forum since 2000. Might be a good resource especially for some of the older titles. Cheers.

Re: 20 years of thank you!
Hard to believe, Iain, that 20 years ago I was a young man of 50 years when I first encountered you and Slitherine. At 70 now, I reflect upon what fun Slitherine has added to my life, from playing the games-to testing them-to editing data text files-to proofing manuals. Hope to still be active with Slitherine and Matrix when I'm 90!
Congratulations to you and all of your colleagues on creating and growing such a first class company.

Re: 20 years of thank you!
Thanks for your work! I discovered "serious" strategy games because of my love for Advance Wars, a Nintendo game, and because of my longing for a new game in this series, but Matrix/Slitherine games scratched that itch and more, with games such as Order of Battle, Panzer Corps, and even more hardcore stuff like War in the Pacific.
Given that strategy games are pretty niche, I take that as excellent news and look forward to all of Matrix/Slitherine's future endeavors.Today Slitherine and Matrix Games are facing unprecedented growth

Really pleased - for utterly selfish reasons - that you continue to reap the benefits of scratching a very particular itch for a very particular sort of consumer.
