BA2 Object WIRE question

May have missed this somewhere, but....
In BA2 can any Russian unit move through or destroy a placed Russian Object "WIRE"?
Appears the Russian Object "WIRE" is the only "WIRE" Object available in BA2.
Know in BA1 units can move through wire after a pause and engineer units remove it by moving through it.
Can only German Engineer units do this in BA2 (haven't tried yet)?
