Re: MKWS Campaign 2012
Dave,
I am certain it will be a close game. All I have to do it work out how to kill all your BG's.
So yes, most likely I will be saying not Dave Allen again!!!

That's a bit harsh Bob, I was only planning on killing half your BGs.viking123 wrote:All I have to do it work out how to kill all your BG's.

Though maybe we colonial oppressors should be working on forming a united front against the massed hordes of Mughalist reaction.

Hi Everyone
just some information for the weekend
You must use Door 14 for access this year.
http://mkws.org.uk/index.php?id=16
Thanks
Alasdair
Plus if anybody knows one more player who would like to play in the league of Augsburg period that would be great, armies would be no problem.

I'll show anyone who wants my list before the game, to be fair I think Dave's foot will cause you more problems than my army,
cheers

As we are in teams not individuals I think the important thing is to be as a team at your table ready to start the first game at 9am as the schedule is already in place and due to the team format not flexibleviking123 wrote:Alasdair,

Re: MKWS Campaign 2012
OK - the moment you've been waiting for - the Saturday draw!!
Division A

[
Division B

So Bob, you've got till late Saturday afternoon to come up with your "anti Alasdair" plan, by which time you will have already practised against one Mughal opponent. I suspect that as Ben has a "bye" (as things stand) on Saturday morning he will do the team scouting and work out evertyone elses list and for a few beers, he may even give you the lowdown on both Dave and Alasdair's Saturday morning match up!
Roll on Saturday - see you all then!

Re: MKWS Campaign 2012
Very big thank you to Don, Neil and all the other members of MKWS for a great and well run Campiagn and especially for us the FOG R competition.
I must also thank Alasdair, it gets a lot of staick from his Oxford collegues, but without him doing the day to day organising and umpiring on the days I am not certain that the FOG R competition would be so successful.
We in The Forlorn Hope did the classic submarining by getting kicked out of Division 1 by just 5 points on Saturday and then taking Division 2 by storm on Sunday. Apologies to all our oppontents in Division 2 for the games on Sunday - in my case average to poor dice on Saturday and then they all came good on Sunday.
Looking forward to next year.

Re: MKWS Campaign 2012
Thanks Bob
much appreciated
also thanks to Neil and MKWs as it is the competition I look forward to most every year for its unusual format and the chance to see old friends.
Don't foget to get your votes in for next year asap if you didn't give me the sheet at the show so we can publish early and start building up armies for next year.
Cheers

Re: MKWS Campaign 2012
Firstly a special thanks to Alasdair for running the FOGR Competition again this year.
Well done to all concerned and another great competition. As requested the results of the competition are attached which reflects the Top 2 Divisions as played on Sunday after Saturdays "qualifying" games!
Congratulations to the "Three Musketeers" on winning the 1st Division with Milton Keynes Runners-Up. In the 2nd Division, "The Forlorn Hope" took the winners laurels with Ilford securing the Runners Up spot.
"Central London 2" lived up to their clubs motto - "It Smacks of Incompetence" - by coming 4th in Division 2 and getting beaten by the "Individuals" with only 1 team member! "Central London Mediocre" messed up by coming 3rd rather than 4th in Division 1 - a performance ruined by Simon LeRay-Meyer actually winning the Division 1 30YW Period - Simon needs some serious coaching on how to lose from his other team members (accepting this is a difficult concept for an Aussie!!!).
Having chatted with Alasdair, although we have given all the Individual Scores, this is a team competition and the nature of the event with 2 Divisions being qualified for on the Saturday means we will not put these results forward for BHGS Rankings purposes.
Division 1

Division 2

We hope you all enjoyed the weekend and look forward to seeing you all again (plus another 4 teams!!) in 2013.

Boo!
'we will not put these results forward for BHGS Rankings purposes' it's bad enoughthat the BHGS comps are organised for weekends that Pete can't make but when he DOES make one it then does not count...
Pete
It just feels like a conspiracy...
