Marc,

Have you concluded on a theme? I would be happy with open and would be looking to choose between Italian wars and latter half of 17th century!

Tom

I'm happy to make it open. I suspect that will mean lots of mid-late 17th armies, but an Earlier army would be welcome

Runners and Riders. Still missing one list, but I'll publish anyway. 1st round draw will avoid intra club clashes.

Alan Brown (Farnborough) -New Model Army
Oren Taylor (Farnborough) - New Model Army
Lance Flint (Farnborough) - ??????????????
Marc Priest (Farnborough) - Late Russian
Richard Jeffrey-Cook (Farnborough) - Tlaxcalan
Neil Seagrave (Farnborough) - TYW German
Ben Jones (Oxford) - TYW French
Tom Elsworth (Oxford) - Italian Wards French
Michael Shepherd (Berkeley) - TYW French
David Allen (Central London) - Japanese
Mark Fry (Malmesbury) - Late Danish
Ray Boyles (October) Anglo Dutch
Bob Lorton (October) TYW Dutch
Colin Evans TYW German

So 3 "Exotics", 2 Late, 8 TYW/ECW, 1 not declared.

Let me know if I have your list or club wrong.

I'll aim to have tables set up for 9.

Reminder :-
40mm MUs. 6' by 5' tables, so 40/60cm deployment depth. Edge zones will be 1'/30 cm

Initiative player can either choose table edge and deploy first or give opponent choice and deploy second.

Has to the first time I've ever heard Dave Allen and Richard J-C described as "Exotic"! Dancing anyone? :)

Are you the same Farnborough group that puts on "Valhalla" every June? I only ask as I can't find anything about this competition on the FWGS website, and I would be interested in entering next year, as I only live over in Haslemere (I'm not a prospective member unfortunately, as Friday evening and Sunday are non-starters for me).

Yes that is us. . Problem is the Web Site moderator has gone AWOL..

If you're free you could always sign up this year (I'll sit out in that case)

Marc - That's very kind of you, but I'm afraid I have prior commitments this weekend. I notice your comp is 25/28mm, rather than the more commonplace 15mm, and tends towards the Wars of Religion/Duty & Glory lists - is that usual with your group? If so, I would be looking at something along the D&G line.

Ronan,
I've sent you a PM. We meet on Fridays at the Elles hall - we've got a few FOG players with a mix of 25mm and 15mm armies

Thanks to Marc for a great day. Actually its Ben Jones, not Ben Cross, don't think I was cross all weekend. My apologies go to Lance who I fought in the last game. who met some of the best dice throwing I have ever done, and his Swiss just didn't know what hit them.
