Burton Doubles 2017

Post by dene » Mon Oct 17, 2016 8:34 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm pleased to be able to post details of next year's Doubles Competition in Burton.

18th & 19th February 2017 at the Meadowside Leisure Centre, High Street, Burton upon Trent, DE14 1TL.

FOG Renaissance doubles, 900 points any book 1618--1659AD. £34.00 per team.

Special rule; Any heavy artillery used must be the first battlegroup(s) deployed, followed immediately by any medium artillery used.

Entries and lists to me dgreen@green2004.fslife.co.uk

Cheques payable to BURTON AND DISTRICT DBM
To Dene Green
19 Rosecroft Gardens
Swadlincote
Derbyshire
DE11 9AF

Registration from 8.30am. Games on both days will be 9.30am--1.00pm and 2.00pm--5.30pm.

You may have noticed the new venue. This is a result of six months of negotiations with the old venue which unfortunately fell through at the last minute.

Any questions please feel free to ask.

Dene - what are the parking arrangements at the new venue? Is there a charge and is there plenty of space?

Hi Kevin,

There is a large pay and display carpark (179 spaces) adjacent to the leisure centre.
The charges are up to 2 hours £1.00
up to 3 hours £1.80
up to 4 hours £2.20
over 4 hours £4.40

There is a partial rebate available from the reception desk. I'll check out how much it is and post on here next week.

Regards Dene

Brendan,

Fighting three bloody Later TYW German armies in four games did not create a problem for Stephen and I at Godendag. We beat all three of them our draw was against the Spanish.
