So
What amendments are we using?
Or should I pull something together from the forum?

Re: Britcon 2017 - 11-13 August
We're currently still on 7 players, so hopefully we have time to persuade another from this weekend's bash at Devizes to sign up.
If not, one game in each round will be played on a table in the Command Bunker, in which the Mighty Pirates will once again take to the table under the tag-team leadership of Kevin and myself...
Anyone finishing below the Pirates in an open competition will have to walk the plank at the end of the weekend...

I think Eric Thomson may join FOGR, it's either that or AM. I'll know on Thursday when I get back from Catalonia. HH

I'll tell him to pack his Speedos as there's a bloody good chance he'll be going for a dip.

Off course buddy - that's what we Scots do best! Hot enough to boil a monkeys bum out here but nice visit to Barca yesterday compensates. Bought the boy a Bar a footie top - 85 euros! No wonder they can pay Messi a mil a week!urbanbunny1 wrote:Do we expect to see a very sunburn Hunter again at Britcon?

Re: Britcon 2017 - 11-13 August
We have now published an updated set of amendments to be played at Britcon, as part of the process of moving the rules gently towards V2.0 and incorporating feedback from recent competitions.
These will be played at the event, and can be downloaded from the Britcon pages on the bhgs website

So to make life easier for us what are the changes from the version we have been playtesting up to now!

Re: Britcon 2017 - 11-13 August
The actual rule changes are the same as have been played previously. We have mainly reverted to the original points costs as feedback was that the reductions trialed were too great and we felt that it is too close to the event to produce a whole new set. The only changes to points that have been kept are:
Elephants reduced to 20 points.
4 Point Swedish Brigade Tax removed.
New points for used commanded shot.
Please note that some errors crept into the points table originally posted. These have now been fixed so please ensure that you work from the latest version.

Re: Britcon 2017 - 11-13 August
Is it correct that Av unarmoured Cav are 5 points and Horse and LH are 7 points? Seems to favour the cav a lot - or am I misreading it?

Re: Britcon 2017 - 11-13 August
The points costs for weapons capabilities seems to have reverted to the original. For instance mounted sword has doubled back up to 2 points.
Is that correct or are we going with the revised points spreadsheet built for Oxford plus the extra 3 items mentioned in the thread (Elephants, Swedish Brigade and Comanded Shot markers)?

Thanks Dave, the link seems to be going to the old version.
Stephen, the points should be as in the original rules except for Elephants, Swedish Brigades and Commanded Shot.

Re: Britcon 2017 - 11-13 August
Not relevant to Britcon - but that old version has Cav cheaper than horse. If it is ever going to be used at any point (eg as a basis for future thoughts) shouldn't Horse be cheaper (being less capable of evading and falling back)?
Re: Britcon 2017 - 11-13 August
So the big winner out of this is a Swedish army that has managed to acquire Hindu allies - or vice versakevinj wrote:the points should be as in the original rules except for Elephants, Swedish Brigades and Commanded Shot.

I think the one that you're looking for is Early Gustavan Burmese. It's in the 7th book of army lists "Armies of the Imagination".

I think Dave is actually seeking Later Muslin Swedish (perhaps we should draw a veil over his choice...)
