Godendag 2020
Yes, I know we have only just had Godendag 2019 but I like to plan ahead.
I raised the question of what theme would players like to play next year and the suggestion was ECW (The Great Rebellion 1642–1651)
Armies would be - Early Caroline English, Scots Covenanter, Scots Royalist, Confederate Irish, Early ECW Royalist, ECW Parliamentarian, Later ECW Royalist, New Model Army..
Are all players happy with that theme?
I would propose that any heavy or medium artillery must be in the first BG's to be deployed.
Do we want to keep points at 800 points or would players be have to increase them to 820 or 830 poinys?

Re: Godendag 2020
I take it that this would not prevent the Oxford club from holding its annual ECW round in April, as well?

Re: Godendag 2020
The two events are totally separate. Both ECW themed competitions will take place if enough player attend.

Re: Godendag 2020
Is there a date yet for the 2020 edition?
Could we go big with 900pts for a change or would that slow things down too much?

Re: Godendag 2020
We have found 900 pts is too much for early European and outside Europe armies.
Just about works for TYW and ECW but can slow things down.
Is OK for late European armies ie. after 1675-80
Due to Bayonets and Determined Horse adding to costs as well as regimental guns in abundance.

Do any ECW armies get heavy guns?

Saturday: 1st Game 9.30 - 1.00 and 2nd Game 2.00 - 5.30

Players must supply their own terrain pieces. These must be to an acceptable standard, and the umpire will have the discretion to remove unsightly items.
Players must be present and ready to start the match at the appointed time. Where a player has a reasonable excuse for arriving late the match start will be delayed by up to 30 minutes. After which time the effected player will be awarded maximum points.
