Ray,

But this is 25mm!

Planned to be entirely open as in previous years. Seems to work well.

Dear all,

Oxford club gets going again on Monday 3rd. Very carefully! If anyone wants to come to a regular meeting tickets are available from our website. Dates there too of course.

What are views about our planned October 11 FOGR event? It was to be an open 25mm. Should we stick to that? Or perhaps open 15mm? Or hold our traditional 15mm ECW event instead. Whatever we decide it will be a ticketed event with a rather limited attendance.

Let us hope it can go ahead; assuming it can grateful to know everyone's views.

Regards

Tom

Hi Tom,

I Hope everyone is ok and doing plenty of painting and basing. If 11th October goes ahead I'd vote for 25mm but would still come if it is 15mm.

Thanks Dene and David, any views on what the theme should be if we go 15mm? Open or ECW?

I'm happy with anything. Please also note that we are trying to set up an event in Sutton in Ashfield, either end Aug or early Sept. Probably fully open 15mm, dates to try to match players availability. Any interest, please put it on the correct threads.

Hello Trev,

Grateful for input. Is your event to be a one dayer - could not see a specific thread.

On size, I am 15mm only. On theme, I have spent most of lockdown re-basing a lot of my earlier renaissance armies to be FOG-R compliant; so I am a bit more "open" about the period. Could we consider doing "Siege of Vienna" using the original outline for the postponed Attack! 2020 (@ Devizes); using one of

Later Polish & Lithuanian – Duty and Glory
Later Ottoman Turkish – Clash of Empires
Hungarian Kuruc Rebellion – Duty and Glory
Habsburg Austrian Imperial (Eastern) – Duty and Glory
Later German States (only Bavaria, Saxony, Swabia, Franconia) – Duty and Glory
Tatar – Clash of Empires
Wallachian/Moldavian - Clash of Empires

820+ points, plus the other scenario rules.

If not, happy to go ECW (as we traditionally do); or a more Open period if that is the concensus!

Dear all,

Trev has just announced an open 15mm FOGR on Sept 5th. In view of this and the overall view that we should go with 15mm rather than 25mm at OWS our thought is to go for our traditional ECW theme on October 11.

So, unless I hear great moans to the contrary I shall publish event rules shortly (needing to clarify numbers of tickets first).
