So how much work is there to do? Do you already have a translation and want us to check it (like in BA) or is it a "start from scratch" job?

Some languages are started others are not. We're looking to translate at this stage and check for bugs later.

I love ww2 history and have played a lot of ww2 PC games (PG, PG2, West Front, East Front II, ...) so I think I could help with the Spanish translation.

Hi there,

I LOVE the game and I work in games localization, I would be glad to help out as German (French) translator/proofreader.

Cheers

Thanks Tschli - German is already being done professionally because we had a deadline we had to meet so that one is covered, but we will need proof reading when its done. On the French, are you a native speaker and able to translate to French - usually its only possible to your native language?

Hi iainmcneil,

I would be glad to help you with the German proofreading.
I grew up in France, French is my 2nd mother tongue but I am not as "proficient" with military terms in French than in German, my knowledge is good enough to do a proofreading (at least).

Feel free to send me a PM in case you have need for proofreading.

Cheers
tschli

PS.: is there already a fix release date for the German version?

Ok thanks - we'll be recruiting proof readers when we're nearly done. We dont have an ETA yet but we are working on it.

Hello all,

I would like to help with translation. I don't know if you think about translation in Serbian, since this language is similar /same with minor differences, but we are all able to fluently understand each others, as England, USA, Aussie/ with few others and in use in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, with addition of Macedonia and Slovenia.

I could translate ingame data and manual, without problem in reasonable time.

I'm from Germany too and find that the english tutorials aren't so difficult to understand. Words you don't understand you can figure out of the context and concurrently advance your english knowledge.

German:

Ich bin auch aus Deutschland und finde, dass die englischen Tutorials nicht so schwer verständlich sind. Wörter die du nicht verstehst kannst du dir aus dem Kontext zusammenreimen und gleichzeitig deine englischen Sprachkenntnisse verbessern.

:D

Thanks - German we have covered for now but will need testers when it is ready. For any other language we are happy to help you translate though obviously some of them will be pretty niche in size. If you want to try it out mail iain@slitherine.co.uk with your username and details of the language you'd like to work on.
