**Note, this is only available on Steam for now**
Responding to some of our community feedback, we'll soon be releasing patch 1.30.
In order to help us test the stability and functionality we've launched an Open Beta on Steam. You can access it by right-clicking on Panzer Corps in your Library, selecting Properties then Betas and selecting the Open Beta branch from the drop down menu.
Change notes:
- Special abilities shown in Purchase, Unit Details and New Equipment Available screens.
- Switch type is shown in a popup when "switch" special ability is clicked.
- Extended predictions when planning unit movement.
- Soft Cap tooltip added to old prestige tooltip.
- Launcher options for selecting legacy audio driver
- Launcher options for selecting windows graphic settings
Known Issues:
- The launcher is currently overwriting it's own settings, meaning that it's not remembering your resolution between sessions

Installed from Steam and confirmed 1.30 beta in start screen. Began Poland/ Loved the extended predictions.
Did not see Switch type popup when I checked the 8.8cm Flak. Looks the same to me.

Good news, not to leave this great game "parked", there are two important things missing. One is that animation can accept the parachutes open, and another option cargo carrier, or cargo air units hangars for lack of it can not be made large sea battles in real scenarios.
Example:
the parachutes animation (mod) can not be loaded does not work in Airborne troops).

Very good option but it would be better to see without touching a ckick with the mouse, there is enough space for display below the main info of each unit (automatic view without pressing the mouse).

Am I attacking the spitfire or am I moving there ? Both look (nearly) the same.
Aerial attack vs. movement is not easy a concept to grasp, but I think this makes it much worse.

Also, the advanced prediction doesn´t take transports into account:
It looks like my artillery will be able to shell the enemy after being loaded on trucks.

Modern Conflicts by Akkukla +1 Great Mod and work, hopefully listen to the modders and make the significant changes necessary to improve the game and not leave parked one of the best strategy games hexagons.

with 1.30 beta , we can't see prediction dammage with planes . bombers or fighters: no prediction against ground ennemy. Is is a bug or is it normal?

Coming back to revisit, so many wonderful memories of this game. Brings a tear to the eye, you know?
Sometimes I forget just how much content there is, there's so many scenarios and campaigns to play now, and that's not even taking into consideration custom user content either.
I poked around several Grand Campaign scenarios with the new Gold Edition steam BETA test. Nothing jumped out as having any new problems, from reinforcement triggers to V weapons and functionality, it seems as solid as ever. There's far too much content to test it all from start to finish, but if anyone has any lingering issues or noticed something about the Grand Campaign that could use a final tune up, I'll be on the look out for this!
The only thing I really did notice that may be a bit off is the functionality of previewing switching units. A very nice feature, being able to see exactly what units CAN have switch modes and the stats for the switch modes too. But it looks like every time you click the button to open to view the other mode's stats, a new window is opening instead of just viewing the other window. So if you repeatedly look between a unit and its switch mode, you then must close every single dialogue box individually. While your switch mode unit does a little dance, heheh.

i played the US corps 43 DLC with the steam beta, and i noticed two things :
(currently at troina, general, 1.20 rules with reform and limited randomness)
- prestige is plenty : i have somewhat 3k left with a 12 overstrength average. Sounds easier than the other DLC
- weird thing on parlermo : there was a italian tank on the top right of the map (a named italian division, forgot which). He had a strange behavior : didnt attack, just got off the map, as if fleeing.

In Beta2, it seems the issue reported by Kerensky is still there: in the purchase screen, if you click the 'switch' shortcut to view the alternate unit, each time you press it again it opens a new window, forcing you to close each one individually when you are done viewing. I can imagine a player clicking this button a few times to compare the two switchable states, it would be better to autoclose the window when pressing the button to prevent a buildup.
One small issue I've noticed is that the volume controls do not affect the briefing speeches: I turned off the music and put the sound effects at minimum but the briefings are still played back at 'normal' volume, which is a bit disruptive during phonecalls...
The new golden theme looks fine.
Because not everyone will be following this via Steam, I'll quote the beta2 updates as posted there by Shards:

Will there be any bugfixes as well? Checking for these is time-consuming so it would be nice to know if I need to check anything in particular?Beta 2 Changelog:
