Scenario Briefings Available??

Post by Blathergut »

Would it be possible to have the scenario briefings available during play? Sometimes there are points that I think I read about but have no way of confirming.

I think I've read this request at least 6 times this weekend, and that doesn't include the ones from since the original beta. I really hope this becomes a feature soon, especially as the victory conditions in the GC DLCs are becoming more interesting and creative and harder to remember.

There would need to be two IMO, perhaps combined somehow - the briefing ('Come in, Herr General...' stuff in the pzbrf files) and the victory conditions at the start of the turn (the pzloc). In MP the messages can be brought up using Ctrl-M - something similar (Ctrl-B?) for the briefing/s would be great.

I agree, access to the scenario briefings in-game would be invaluable. Hope it gets considered!

I second this, we should be able to access the briefing and scenario objectives screens all the time.

It's on the list of nice to have features, but it's a long list. ;)
In the meantime, I recommend taking a screenshot and referencing that, as an alternative.

The other option is to save and reload. During the load, the victory conditions briefing comes up again. Pretty quick and painless.

We could just write it down on a piece of paper like a real WW2 general would do. Not quite the point, though.

El Condoro, I did as you suggested: I held a sheet of paper on my monitor and wrote it down, word after word.

Now you should see my monitor - it looks weird and shows weird signs.
Maybe it wasn't the best way to use a pen. Probably a brush wouldn't have damaged my monitor that way. :P

[irony off] Sorry guys, just felt this way! :D

:)
One more bright idea: next time, take a photo of the screen with your phone, then send it to the email on your iPad and then you will have it handy when you're playing the turn! Voila! :)
[My irony button seems to be stuck ON - sorry]
