Nice Mod.

I'm now in the Warzaw-scenario, playing 1.20 on FM, and I really needed those light flak veichles i bought :-)

Question is this mod intended for 1.14 or 1.20?

I would suggest playing by 1.14 rules. It is intended that way. Prestige cap in 1.20 will make your life much harder as there is a need to maintain a core of over 50 units. But if you are very good in the game maybe 1.20 is for you.

The mod was updated up to v1.14. It will also run under v1.20 but probably much harder. I began with this mod about two years ago and i did my best to keep it up-to-date up to PC v1.14. Taking it up to v1.20 specs is too extensive. I suggest to use the advanced difficulty settings when starting this mod under v1.20.

A little update:

Playing under 1.14 gives me comotion that was needed. It comes so far that I have been a bit lazy in unit placement and support protection, to the point that my prestige fell to 0. But now I'm at the Barbarrosa (reversed?) and I'm starting to build prestige again, by playing more carefully. All in all mod is great, and it is obviously optimized for 1.14. No progressive price for OS and no prestige cap gives a chance of maintaining core experience at max, and occasionaly upgrading units. I'm optimistic that I'm about to go into tough scenarios of 44' and 45' with much better core this time.

One more question for you nikki. I have seen that there is a GTPG mod for SE (SS) units. Is this mod completely the same in scenario structure as this one, but just with different units? I really like your mod, there is a nice feeling to it and it is as close as it gets to the original PC. I tried Italian campaign 2.0, but it is not as good as GTPG (probably because italian units suck, but also because there are some wierd triggers out there). I was wondering what other (your mod) would you suggest after I finish this one? I know that you have a few mods under developement, but are there some others that are already finished?

On the other hand your campaign is awesome! It is really challenging and unorthodox. Late war scenarios are especially challenging as they require front and rear action as well as some difficult retreat and escort missions. Koenigsberg is one of them and I'm still having trouble getting a DV here. I will have to protect that narrow channel better.

So scenarios are completely the same but with all SS units or more SE (SS) units then normal? What are benefits of playing this besides getting a slightly better units?

So all these mods are still in beta phase? Nevertheless once I finish GTPG I might try some of them :)

SS-GTPG holds the same scenarios as GTPG. The merger of two mods came after an idea of Bob and myself. There are appearingly people out there who wish to play panzer corps with purchaseable SS units. As a result, GTPG might be somewhat easier.

Roma Victor! 1 is finished with the release of the localisation files and briefings in german. Roma Victor! 2 - DLC 1 is finished. The player's core will be continu in DLC 2 (under development).

Legacy of Versailles is a work in progress. The vanilla version should be released once i finished the 70-80 scenarios (63 scenarios are done) as foreseen. The ultimate version (with a custom e-file and units) should hold more scenarios, and includes the eastern front , which is not present in the vanilla version.

So Roma Victor 1 is in German only? I can play only in English... As far as I understand that Roma Victor 1 and 2 are only mods that are fully playable (campaigns with ending)? I guess you are producing mods slower than I am consuming them :) Just kidding of course, great job! As for me I might as well start doing something else instead of playing PC :)

As far as GTPG goes, I believe I'm one scenario from the end (Persian Gulf). It has been a long campaign, although not longer or more exhausting then DLC East scenarios. Either that or I got used to it. I have one remark though. Although I like pseudo historical pathway that you have created (German - USA alliance), I find the whole part after USA invasion to be an overkill. Moreover since there are African and middle east scenarios in European landscape (is that somehow fixable)? It sucks that different games AK and PC are needed for different landscapes... Also after US missions I have built a core so strong that there is no possible way that something could jeopardize it (around 16 Tiger2s all 5 starred with additional 10 JagdTigers and JagdPanthers also 5 starred). All other units are also 5 starred. I'm just pummeling enemy, and unless something extremely unexpected happens (like 30 IS2s with 5 stars appear in last mission at once), I believe that I will finish mod without real effort. The hardest part was from 2/4 - 3/4s of the progress. But nevertheless it is a great mod, it's just that a final few missions are maybe a bit too much :)

A few answers :)

All the mods are in english. The extra version (localisation folder) in German is grace to my collaborators from the LoV project.

The late war scenarios in Africa/Middle East were developped (way) before the official DAK campaign, hence there were no desert tiles available at that time.

I do agree that 70 scenarios are more than enough and that late war scenarios are always tough to make them challenging.

I am too embarrassed to start a new thread, so i post it here for now. Anyway, just as GPTG, this is also very much related to the original panzer general.

Here is the standalone scenario of Kutno - you know, the infamous first scenario of Panzer General - which can be played as single player and multiplayer for both sides.

- Pro for Axis: somewhere is a capturable artillery piece ; one PzIIC starts out with a hero ; 4 core slots available (you can purchase 1-2 unit(s) at turn 1 with the available prestige, the rest has to be earned)
- Pro for Allies: at turn 4, 200 PP is added to the prestige pool ; 3 auxiliary slots available
- Both sides have 1 railroad transport available (yeah, i added railroads)
- Victory conditions are displayed and for one event to both sides, a msg should appear (axis: captured unit; allies: 200 PP dump)

Thanks Guys. Panzer General surely brings back memories :) I had to improvise a replacement for the original pz 35(t) and exchanged a few of the infantry units to have a more colorful mixture.
The second scenario of that campaign was Warsaw. When it's done, i'll make the post.

I agree. It is the snowball effect that everybody was talking about. In GC East it wasn't so apparent as AI could throw limitless number of tanks at player, but in GTPG the last few missions are nice concept wise, but not a real challenge. Considering that Ai probably won't get any better (I believe only a new game would change that), the only way to make game more challenging are prestige tweaks. And in 1.20 that was done with prestige cap. Although it is a cheap fix it can make things more difficult, and if not balanced nicely can create problems and kill players motivation to play.

Anyways have you maybe suited your new mods for 1.20 or have you kept your faith into 1.14? I believe that would make game harder and different from GTPG experience which becomes pretty much a walk on the straight line after cumbersome US east scenario.

Roma Victor! 2 is being built under PC v1.20. So is that standalone scenario of Kutno (had a surge of nostalgia). MPC '39 and '40 were also built under v1.20.

Well I be damned :D I predicted 30 5 OS tanks in last scenario (India) and that is about what I got :D Good job nikki for reading my mind in advance! :)

The nice thing is they are not 5 starred, but 3 so I've got a shot :) But nice move, as mission until the middle of it seemed pretty anti-climatic and easy :)
