The last variant of the Panzer III tank, the Ausf.N model, was designed as a support tank to be used in conjunction with the heavy Panzer and Panzerjäger units. Taking this in mind, it sounded logical to me to make an indirect fire "switch" icon for this tank, to make it able to provide support (artillery type) fire for hte heavy units.
The unit pack includes reworked base icons, and regular and SE colored icons, both in fire and indirect fire switches. Enjoy!!

Thanks for the updated units, Guille. And I found your discussion on graphics in the PAK thread very interesting too. Thank you for sharing your expertise. :)

Hello Cw!! My pleasure... :-)

Now, another bonus, but "what if" unit... The Sturmgeschütz Maus, which according to reference posted by a forum member in one Warthunder web page, had the following story behind it (or, at least what part of it could be found after the war):

Sturmgeschütz Maus was the alternative program to the Sturmgeschütz E-100 (often - incorrectly - referred to as Jagdpanzer E-100). This vehicle is known (also incorrectly) as "Jagd Maus". Both project originate at the same point in time. On 9th May 1944, a meeting was held between Porsche and Krupp, where Ing. Schmidt from Porsche presented sketches of the 150mm L/63 and 170mm L/53 Sturmpanzers based on Maus chassis, developed by Krupp in cooperation with Porsche, that were to compete for the superheavy Sturmpanzer contract with the Adlerwerke and their E-100 - based Sturmpanzer. In May, the discussions continued with the 150mm variant being favoured over the 170mm. Porsche tried to "smuggle" a Flakaufbau (anti-aircraft miniturret), but that was denied, as it was planned for the superheavy vehicles to be escorted by AA tanks (Flakpanzers). The plans never reached any serious stage however. In May 1944, there were only rough sketches and conceptual ideas none of which unfortunately survived. One of the issues of the design was the height - the tall Maus chassis and the superstructure simply made a very tall vehicle, despite the fact Krupp mounted the observation equipment into the superstructure. The ammo capacity of 85 rounds was planned. By the end of the May it was decided the E-100 chassis would fit the project better. A mockup was ordered, but it never really happened. On 10th of July, Adolf Hitler personally stopped the development of all superheavy vehicles via Albert Speer (the Maus project itself was worked on until August) and that was the end of both superheavy Sturmpanzers.

Also, I think I read something about the competition about the superheavy Sturmpanzers based on Maus and E-100 chassis in the excellent Tank Encyclopedia web...
About the icons themselves, I drastically shortened their gun barrels because I had to keep the graphic size below the 148 pixels width limit :-(

Enjoy!! 8)

Hello guille,

Fantastic, always new and more beautiful icons!
I thought my basic Panzer Corps modification was done, but no, it's a real pleasure!

Best regards

A new, and I think last, member of the Maus "Family", but, be warned, this is only a fantasy unit, because I could not find any documental evidence of it being even in project. I suppose it was created out of the imagination of some scale model manufacturer... I am talking about an hypotetical 8,8 cm Flakzwilling Maus heavv AA/tank destroyer vehicle... 8)
Enjoy!

Hi Guille

Could you please make the following icons?

German Geschutzwagen Tiger Fur 17cm K72 and Geschutzwagen Tiger Grille21/210mm Mortar. They are Tiger II chases but extended.

Thank you so much!

Hello Speedy:

I made that unit using the basic icon for the T-34-43 and appliyng on it a special template I made from a very interesting color profile ilustration of an "experimental" up-armored T-34 made by the Soviets, applying extra armos plates over its whole hull and turret.

Here I attacch that template, and as a bonus, new, reworked icons for the T-34-43 in regular Soviet green scheme and in SE camo.

Birgeria: As I am in the "Heer 1946" mood, I will try to make icons for that variant of the Tiger Ausf.B family.

Stay tuned, and enjoy!! 8)

Hi Guille

Thank you so much for these amazing icons!

I also made the masks for DCS thus I can customize their camoflages.

Hello guille

Great Tiger pack ! I was wondering if you have the guide on how to create masks but with the pictures, these do not show up anymore on the DCS thread. I've lost all my stuff about it and lost the hand for it, haven't done any for 2 years now and would like to start making some again.

Any help would be really appreciated

Best

Hello Speedy:

Here is the file with the mask making tutorial I have carefully stored... 8)
As a bonus, and because of your previous request, I have been working on updated base icons for the T-34-43 and some extra templates (with their masks for applying camo skins to them) useful to apply extra armor skirts, stowage boxes, external fuel tanks, etc...

I hope you like them, and also they may be useful for you to re-learn the way to make masks.

Greetings!

Now, back to the aircraft departament... More icons converted from Bebro´s original A-20 aircraft. The pack contains US versions of said aircraft, in an early version (A-20C with "glazed" nose) and the late A-20G with "solid" nose, both in regular and SE colors (with "Invasion stripes").

Enjoy!
