You can always patch the game. Although not all changes might take effect until a restart of the campaign, if i'm not mistaken.

Dont think so. The screen stays black when I start my savegame after patching the game. Cant even return to the menu, doesnt pop up. Can only return to desktop via STRG+ALT+DEL

That most probably has nothing to do with the patched game.
I suggest to open a thread in the "tech support" sub forum.

The flowcharts are in the download package.

To make it extra easy, you can find it in this attachment too.

Very soon. Some small but necessary changes are done to the Elite mod e-file. Airborne's next update will make the Elite mod fully compatible with LoV. So keep an eye on his thread.

Niko you must be very passionate about your work on all your mods. I appreciate it but I can't help but wonder how you find the time to do all of this? You are quite an impressive grognard! Thanks for all the hard work.

As long this remains fun and doesn't turn into an obligation, i will keep doing what i am doing

I still owe you a PM, which i will send today.

And last but not least, the mod will be updated next month with a few dots and kommas and a small fix in the campaign.pzdat file (i suppose nobody arrived at Adlersangriff 1944 yet). The mod will receive a few extra scenarios too, but that will be for a later update. I hope everybody is keeping a save file of Fall Rot (Invasion of France). As for now, after Fall Rot you can only continue in Spain; this future update will unlock Operation 25 (Yugoslavia) and Marita (Greece).

ALL thanks should go to Niki.

I'm in his debt for the fact that he told me how to make Elite Units compatible so that the users of Elite Units could use it while playing LOV.

Hi,

I've been starting LoV from anew since I bought a new PC. I'm at the Sweden/Norway scenario right now. The scenario is somewhat notorious since there is a trigger that starts chewing players prestige by 200 points if Kelona (or some similarly named city) is not conquered. The city is far far north and if I don't conquer it really quick my prestige goes to nothing, and I think even conquering hexes yields like 5 times less prestige then it should.

OK so i realized there is only one way to do this - Falschrimhjagers... There is just no other quick way of stopping this prestige problem. I more or less eradicated the first wave of planes that AI threw at me (7 or 8 of them). And to be honest it was a huge one. However right after I thought I cleared the sky there was some additonal 5 Hurricanes that wiped out my attempt to send Faslchrimjagers north. Then I just decided to quit the scenario. I'm not bitter or disappointed, but I would like to hear what strategy should be implied here? I don't know what to do...

Destroying the second wave as well? Honestly that would take a large toll on my Bfs I have 2 Bf109s and 1 Bf110 (or I will have to reform units into fighters I don't know). Also escorting paratroopers with fighters north is very hard to do as they don't have that range to be honest. I know that there is some kind of trick (as usually there is), but I cannot seem to understand what is the trick in this scenario, except having like 5 fighters. It is very unorthodox scenario for PC.

Other then that great campaign. But very challenging on the first try. I cannot imagine how hard scenarios look like, if the first few have above average difficulty :S It is definitely made for PC enthusiasts and by them, since IMO 1 scenario takes several hours to complete on the first try.

EDIT: I just realized that first few turns are in very bad weather. Maybe that is the key? To send paratroopers ASAP north to conquer Kelona before weather gets good??

Hope for bad weather at the beginning and hope that weather prediction is correct. I moved the paratroopers north asap but always kept them 2-3 hexes away from cities.

Thanks Nikki :) I thought the same thing... Although I'm still thinking how to battle that many allied planes... Well taking them one by one I guess :)

I secured Kiruna within 6 turns, and I'm not getting 200 PP lost message again, which is very good. However I realized 2 things. First that I got 10 ships to my core and 3 FJg units, which is awesome! And second that I'm getting ridiculously low amount of prestige for VHs now. My prestige gain is reduced 5 times now from previous scenario! I get only 10 PP for regular and 20 PP for victory hexes. Is this because of the prestige cap that I hit so early into campaign? I got around 3000 prestige in Poland scenario. Here I doubt I will get more then 200 PP with current development, which is kind of illogical IMO.

I don't know how to play this way. I played for 2 years with linear gain prestige mechanics. Even AC that introduces prestige cap does this by gradual core build up, and gradual prestige decrease. Am I supposed to sell the units (ships) that are handled to me in order to patch my tanks from losses? AI has a lot of planes in this scenario and causes some havoc on my tanks although I'm scrambling fighters left and right. I mean this way even if map had like 20 VHs, gain would be 20 x 20 = 400 PP per scenario which is not enough, or barely enough for core this big. I'm used to getting at least 1000 PP for a DV even on a much smaller core. Is this a product of combination between such a big and versatile core early on and prestige cap? Or is it maybe product of this single scenario (resource deduction even if I secured Kiruna - which I doubt so)?

If this is normal behavior, please give me some pointers on how to play since this kind of game mechanics is completely new to me (I'm not saying it is bad, just different)? In the end I must say that prestige is a very big drive why we are trying to conquer hexes. So getting this little prestige pretty much kills the motivation. I know that switching to 1.14 is an option though.

The new rules, are giving a bit of a problem, with such high value equipment in the player's army. We had in mind to do the same for the ultimate, but i decided not too, for these obvious reasons. I hope to compensate with enough missions with ships for the navy fans.

Hmmm... So would you agree then that the mod is meant to be played with 1.14 rules? I know I will switch to 1.14 rules, as mod is obviously a gem that would be heavily spoiled by new rules. I mean everything else is perfect in the mod :)
