Totally amazing! Looks like I will have to extend my French campaign by a few years and a few hundred km East...
I'd better start designing a Char B1 dix, and a Somua S45 to take them on!

Flash suppressor?? Kind of point less considering the fire there rounds at less than 500 yards that's why the Sturm tigers don't have them. Cool unit though

I think it would not be a flash suppresor, but a recoil dampening muzzle-brake for such a massive barrel...

I think the turret is to small for the round size

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.............if that turret is not big enough, how about this version? You do realize that Soviet designed tanks were not noted for turrets being roomy and creature comfortable.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
I am glad you like them Akkula. Perhaps someone will put them to use in a "what if" situation. In the meantime, Here are the four different Panther II and Panther F schmallturm units that Guille did most of the work on making. I tweaked them a bit and did the detailing. The Panther II in reality wore a full size Panther turret and NOT a schmallturm as seen in so many models and pictures made up (one is included for those of you that like it with the schmallturm). The Panther F DID have a schmallturm. The schmallturm was not produced until the production of the Panther II model was ended. The differences in the models is slight, but noticeable if you look carefully.

Then comes the Panther F series..................first version had the typical Panther D, A and G series dish type wheels, final version had steel Tiger I type wheels.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Sorry Flak I shouldn't post on this forum when my wife is on her cycle As always your units are great and your input and advice is always welcome it just struck me funny when I saw the muzzle break it has to be the size of a 55 gallon drum!!! it just dose not look proportionate It remids me of an armored blunderbuss. But I guess that's what these units are

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Here are some Panther II versions with track armor on the turrets...........these tracks are slightly larger (because the Panther II was based on a Tiger II chassis and running gear) than the regular Panther D,A,G, F.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
A bit of exotic and perhaps a little known unit, an Italian Ansaldo L35/LF Flamethrower with trailer. I researched this little unit once I stumbled across it and since it is a flamethrower, it should be in the game for the Italians, perhaps. The basic unit is the only one I could locate for this unit icon. Not a very detailed icon, but better than none. Perhaps the Italian affectionados of the game will have an interest in it and put it to use.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
In the near future I plan on posting some Soviet units I have been working on. Akkula gets the first look since his mod was my inspiration for a large part. I always focused on German and Axis units, but found new interest in Soviet stuff too. As I worked on a few units, my inspiration grew and became much more expansive. As I have said many times before, I am not of the talent level of some people like Guille, PHCAS, Rezaf, Asuser, McGuba, Bebro and others (to name a few), but I can manage to change a unit and mod it into something a little different for appearance sake. I have been registered on this forum since August 2011, four years now. I have learned so much from the generosity of so many people who have participated in it during the time I have been registered.
I am attaching a picture of me with a "flakfernrohr" so that you can associate a name with a face and an object should you have the desire.

Hello Flak! I was wondering what you were up to... Thanks for your portrait! May be you noticed, but I uploaded one of the units you requested... The Rammtiger. Also, soon to be released is an hypotetical "Panther Transporter" consisting of a big transport vehicle on a Panther chassis, with an enlarged, taller hull (a little too high profile to be used as an APC, but it can perform that function...
Thanks for all your work!!
