About the spawn bug for German units, did you try version 1.7?. In that last update I made a lot of corrections regarding that matter. If you did, well, it seems I will have to refix that again :? .

I had this happen both in a 1.6 and a 1.7 game. The 1.7 game had a lot less units spawning in the Alps, but the same can't be said for some Panthers and StuGs. Still a very nice mod nevertheless ;-)

Oops, I think I will have to pause for a days my new mod and fix these annoying issues. Just by curiosity: what difficulty did play and was the outcome?.

I stopped 1.6 on General when 1.7 came out. In the 1.7 game I played until turn 56 on Field Marshal. Bad weather made capturing Rome, Oslo and the last parts of Sweden a slogfest. I've checked some of the German spawning units after all of Germany was conquered and it are SS Panzerdivision Leibstandarte and SS Panzerdivision Totenkopf.

* edit: And on turn 63 two of the three fortresses also still spawned. Bit weird after the message a few turns back that the whole of Germany has been conquered ;-) After that it's mostly planes and a few isolated units spawning.

It seems in the last releases I reduced the AI difficulty too much: to reach Germany by turn 63 is too easy IMHO :P. I will try to balance that issue and to add some more historical events in 1.8.

Stay tuned, I will try to make the scenario more enjoyable by the next release.

Well it's surely enjoyable, but you're right to want to make it more challenging. In the 1.7 game I stopped shuttling troops to the front around turn 60 and still won on turn 70. Upgrading your front line troops does the trick better, I even had 10K+ prestige left I didn't know how to spend.

Hello!

I seem to have a problem of not being able to see special tiles like forests, hills, or special buildings when I could see them before.

I don't know what happened but can someone help me with this problem? It only happens for this mod while others appear to work fine.

EDIT: Oh never mind, I forgot to activate the tile mod.

Adding on to what others have said. I find the big scenario a bit too easy if played smart. Germany never reaches even close to Moscow on Field Marshall. The AI on my end had problems of always sending its infantry into trucks and half-tracks forward; which made them easy to kill. I think the half-tracks for the Germans should have more ground defense so they aren't as easy to kill with riflemen(conscripts). I got to Berlin at turn 29, and finished with a DV on turn 58. Adding to that, there's just way too many AA guns for the soviets to push forward with if they are given trucks. Which makes german air power not very viable to use again ground units; lest they be flaked to death.

Overall though, it's really fun to play the big scenario. Especially like the fight over at Finland with all the rugged terrain which than moves onto Sweden and Norway. I'll probably give the scenario another go by lowering my prestige and xp gain to 50%; increasing the AI's prestige gain to 150%; and turning off the fog of war so it doesn't run into ambushes all the time by soviet regulars/riflemen hiding in the forests. I'll see how it goes this time around.

Hi Gaurav. Thanks a lot for your feedback.
I am about to work in the 1.8 update and my main task is to improve the big scenario by adding some challenges and increasing the difficult of it (and fix some remaining bugs of course). Regarding the German transports I am trying to find the right balance without break the campaign balance in the process.
I will try to upload the new version this weekend, so I suggest you to wait for before giving another go :D

Hello guys.
I am releasing update 1.8. It only focus on balance issues from The Great Patriotic War scenario and other minor stuff (I took the idea from Gaurav251 and I slightly increased some stats for German transports, not much to avoid conflicts with the main campaign and other scenarios).
My original idea was to include more events and other things but my efforts are focused on my new mod which is very exhausting. I hope to revisit the Eastern Front soon and to add more content for those who are interested in it :D

Hey guys!

I noticed this mod added german units with mp44s for late war scenarios in 44-45. But it didn't seem like they had proper audio files for them(using volinf); so I took the liberty to add my own mp44 sounds for these units.

Mod adds new sounds for both SS_inf44 and Wehrmacht_inf_45. Also has optional sound changes for other infantry from soundmod redux(changes conscripts and most of wehrmacht infantry).

Install by either using JSGME and add on top of soviet storm. Or copy and paste the files into your soviet storm folder.

Edit: fixed an audio unit being too quiet(Wehrmacht_1).

Yes, I chose to use that audio option because of the panzershreck sound. I admit that I was too lazy to create a new audio including the mp44 and the panzershreck, my fault.

Hello,

I have a problem with Soviet Storm crashing when AI move.
Usualy when some Finland units moves and engages my units.
First round when enemy is attacking goes fine, then i move with all my units with no crash. When i hit next turn button, work some time, like 100 units move, then it crash.
I tried reinstaling mod, etc.

Using /nocache shortcut.

I have played "Battlefield Europe" mod with no problems.

Any ideas?

Btw, are there another panzer corps mods with big maps, like Europe battlefield, or Soviet Storm?

There's my War of the World II (link in signature). It has a lot less units that BE or EFSS, but covers the whole world.
