Results of Firing: 3

Post by Rekila »

Hello all! A point arouse in our last game, about the exact meaning of the 3 result. It seems to imply a difference between wavering units and disordered ones. Does it mean that only wavering units move back to 3MU? (i.e and instead of or). Thanks in advance.

Remember: Latest QRS will trump charts in rules. The chart just states "Retire to 3MU if closer. May not advance during the following movement phase." I think the "or if wavering" bit in the rules makes no sense.

If you are forced back 3MU from all enemy than you move back regardless of your cohesion state. If you are blocked by friends you move as far away as possible then stop there, you don't burst through.

I forgot to check the QRS! Anyway that’s how we have been playing so no problem. But I must say that I’m not very happy with the 3 result, in the case of artillery for example. Well thanks for the clarification, even if the French commander will not agree!
