Very nice pictures!

Your observation about cavalry being one-shot weapons is in my opinion a nice feature of the rules. The Spent rule forces commanders to think carefully about committing cavalry. A fresh reserve can be decisive, but while spent cavalry are less effective than fresh cavalry, they are far from useless. Infantry should still show some caution when they are around, although fresh cavalry will be hunting them!
