Figures Bought

Post by jcmedhurst »

Hi there,

Does anybody know of any companies in the business of buying painted wargames figures - a friend of mine is thinking of selling up his Kushite and Late Roman armies

You could try "Instant Armies" they do buy collections as a whole.

Ebay should get you the fair market value for the figures. If you sell to a middleman, he will want to take his cut, so you would not expect to get as good a price.
My recommendation would be to split them up into DBA armies and sell them on ebay.

Can also depend on the size of the army (and the quality, both of painting and photography)- a very large army adds a lot of postage cost, plus if it is really well painted then it can be hard to show this on photos. Obviously if it isn't urgent then Salute is a big market which should get close to ebay prices.
Conversely if it is poorly painted then go to ebay!
