Thanks for the timely help, got the Potzblitz mod working correctly now. Wow what a difference, printed out the whole 99 page PDF file to better digest all of the new wrinkles. Ran through a few turns as Serbia and can see some changes to staring lineups as well. Looks like it'll take a little testing to learn what's different between the two versions.

I have been trying to install the mod .I downloaded it unzip copy bring it over to the data file and paste in over it.
but nothing happens .I have the pdf icon on my desk top no problem that works fine just can't get mod to work in game
I have the game on steam and that's been up dated to 1.66 I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it .I also have windows 10
if that helps .Hope someone can help .thank you

5.35 (smaller one) is just a hotfix, but u need main mod, which is 4.7 (huge one)

make fresh install of ctgw then apply mod then last hotfix

u can copy it elsewhere, to keep both, vanilla and modded versions

but u need then apply version 4.7 first, then latest hotfix (5.35 or which is it now)

Know matter how I try to install the mod it just won't work .I uninstalled the game 4 times off of my steam
acct. and then installed it over again .I copy the data file with the mod and drop it over the data file of the game
then I do the same with the hotfix and still noting hope someone can help would really love to get this mod working

it needs to overwrite many files, so if its not asking u to allow that, u r copying it to wrong place

Don't drop it on the data file of the game ( because then you'll be overwriting the data file inside the data file). Drop it on the game itself.

yep, thats my guess too, hes copying whole data folder into data folder of the game, instead of overwriting it

You won't probably update the mod anymore, Robotron - and that is fine, you have made so many changes already and made this game actually very replayable and awesome, thank you very much.

Well, I just read above that Robotron will not continue the Potzblitz mod.

Let me say I think your mod showed the true potential this game has! THX!

But I have another question:
Basically I do not like the changes to the Zeppelins' ability to do strategic bombing. Please understand I am not discussing the pro/and contra if Zeppelins should be able to do so!
Strat bombing is more than destroying factories and includes diverting ressources from frontline support to homeland support which is displayed in the reduction of PP of bombarded city.

I just want to (re)mod the potzblitz mod to a state where Zeppelins are able to do strat bombing like bombers again.
I checked the Units and technology luas but I don't find a reason why a Zeppelin doesn't do any strat damage anymore. It seems it is not the strategic bombing value in the files.

Anyone an idea how to get the strategic bombing ability of Zeppelins back into the game (for me)?

its not neccessary and spoiling ai games, as ai wont use it against u, u will have higher production in comparison

Well, how should I put it ... thx for your input on a debate basis.
Please understand that I am the one who wants to decide what I find neccessary in my AI games.

And on the contrary I do remember one game where one of my empty cities was bombed by AI bombers almost to rubble before I stationed a fighter there.
As said AI bombers, not Zeppelins. Never noticed the attacks until I asked myself why Dortmund is only at 6pp ...

Maybe sombody else has an idea, why (player) Zeppelins don't do any strategic damage?
As said it doesn't look like it is the strategic bombig value.

on the contrary, ive played it many times and never saw that, maybe it can happen, but its more like accident than usual ai behaviour

u said bombers not zeps/blimps, so again, ai wont use them to do that, bombers are end game tech, ive never seen them in action in potzblitz

potzblitz has quite tight economy, strategic bombing would be like exploit (u can still use ships to bombard ports, which is the easiest way to break ai)

in my games ai was usually holding until some "crisis" event (which can be hastened or worsened by fast advance for example) then just collapsed

so i guess strategic bombing is forbidden on purpose and just robotron knows how to allow it again, try to PM him
