How to edit rail move points?

Post by Kossatx » Mon Jul 09, 2018 10:01 am

Hi! In which file can I edit the rail move points? The armored train can be edited in the units file, but where can I edit the rail move points?

@Kossatx:

what exactly do you mean?

Q: how MANY units can be moved by rail per turn via a strategic rail move? A: for players: this is easily done, for AI it's impossible to fix, it's hard-coded to "unlimited" per design choice of the guy who coded the main executable file of the game (not the lua scripts)

Q: how FAR a unit can be moved by a strategic rail move? A: this also is hard-coded and not fixable.

Thanks for your answers Robotron, my question was about how far an unit can be moved.

I think if not directly, indirectly can be modded how far an unit can strategic rail move. In the chasis.lua can be modified how many mp the rail move spent in each terrain type.

This only applies to units using the "rail"-type chassis, namely railguns and armoured trains, and only when doing normal moves.
