Please add the editor in soon. It's going to important for evaluating what's in the game, as well as creating content early on.

We will enable the editor fairly soon, but we want to make sure that we can get feedback on the game itself, as we know a lot of people will jump right in to the modding :)

Cheers

Thanks for the Editor, i have a question about it:

using the "randon enemies plugin" i set 3 AI groups at 100/200/200 points... however when i start the scenario the AI did not purchase any units; there must something i did wrong using this plugin.

Anyone have some clues on this feature?

Thank you

The random enemies plugin works by using the points set in the plugin to purchase units from the denoted teams randomly. So if you set up AI team 3 with 10 units you probably want to set the plugin with enough money to purchase say 5 or 6 on average - then each time the mission starts it will set up team 3 with units that cost no more than the value in the plugin.

So you need to both set a value in the plugin, and also allocate the AI units to appropriate teams.

I believe you also need to set the units to chose from as unfixed using the F key.

indeed, i tried and it works. In the editor i have to choose fixed units and unfix them with F key ... when i start the scenario i can choose from units selected and unfixed, thanks.

I was comparing the editor last night with the BA editor. Wow you guys have really automated or simplified a lot. Reinforcements, On-map text, auto-edging, drag and drop roads and rivers. It looks really nice.

BA2 editor rocks! :P

A very small issue: I can't make a screenshot with F2 key when the UI of reinforcements is open.

I use the "Print Screen" key.

The advantage of the F2 key is that it automatically saves the screenshot into a file.

The copy/paste tool is very great but :
- the hills aren't copied.
- the VPs defined by the plugin aren't copied also.

And can we have a 'cut' function in addition of copy/paste? Or an eraser to allow to erase a large zone (ideally by marking corner like copy/paste feature)?

If you want to make your own custom versions of existing scenarios the simplest way is to make a copy in your local My Documents/My Games/BA2/CAMPAIGNS folder. Then they will be available to edit.

If you've modified a scenario then anything could be broken and there isn't really anything we can do about it. :(
