Mission stuck

Post by lordshipmayhem »

Soviet lunar impactor mission. I'm observing from MC. It currently is stuck on the "Mission Step Name: Earth-Moon Transit: Success!" You can see an antenna in the lower left corner of the screen, but that's it - she's not moving. (Apparently Apollo's hand from the Star Trek original series episode Who Mourns for Adonais? is stopping it in mid-stride, like he did with the Enterprise.)

Ended up shutting the application down, without resolution to the issue.

Hello lodshipmayhem,

Thanks for reporting this. Do you have a savefile at hand?

The Star Trek reference went way over my head, I had to google it! :)

I might have an auto save, let me check. Where on the system directory should I look?

Hello there,

Thanks for the file. I've tried it on this end and the Luna 2 program is not opened and cannot be opened due to unaccomplished goals. In any case, I tested the mission using a different savefile and I managed to watch the whole animation, including the impact sequence. Can I ask you to post a screenshot with the issue?

Oh yes this is exactly what I found today with that Luna 3 mission in my Steam game. And it was going so well up to that point - I thought I had finally got past the probe deployment crash! Now I am well behind Nasa and not likely to catch them as when I retried the mission and jumped to conclusion the mission failed at launch again. Bother.

Hello nats. You'll get the animation fix in the next patch. Notice that you can still use the "Skip to outcome" button.
