I am a little floored by how well Order of the Pacific turned out. I thought this would be just another Panzer Corps monetization mechanism (don't get me wrong, PCorps is a solid game and deserves lots of monetization!), however, the game's design really takes the genre to the next level. Aircraft feel way different and more realistic (you don't just pound units into oblivion, they fight and then limp back to their air bases as would be the case in real life to replenish/refit). Naval warfare is also superb and land with the new supply rules makes it extremely strategic as well as less mundane (no need to "resupply" - that happens automatically based on supply state).

If the game design wasn't good enough, the campaign is meticulously designed with beautifully flowing scenarios and extremely intense game play. Secondary objectives add a lot of playability and you can tell that this has had a lot of thought and care put into it.

Anyways, kudos. I'd like to know who the key people are behind the game design and campaign/scenario design so that I can follow them in terms of future products (or other games they've made that I've yet to play). Well done guys, I hope the game sales meets the game quality.

Happy to hear you are enjoying the game, and appreciate the overal design behind it!

Pacific - and the recently released Morning Sun expansion - are only the beginning of the franchise. The next expansion - U.S. Marines - is set to release this month and we have many more coming this year. In the longer term Order of Battle will cover the whole of WW2 including Europe and as well as other conflicts shortly before and after.

Each major update will coincide with a (free) patch to add new gameplay features and improvements to the base game. We also intend to update and improve the original Pacific campaigns eventually to incorporate recent and planned gameplay changes, as well as improve things based on player feedback and the lessons we learned from the initial release.

The best way to stay up to date on the game's development is to follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

Adherbal - that sounds like a hint re Korean War!!!! It is an important episode very poorly served by gaming.

I concur! The game also looks & feels great ... love the graphics, sounds, and music.

Just like to add my congratulations to the makers/designers of this game. It is now my go to game of choice, tried Panzer Corps but prefer by far OOB Pacific! Loving the expansions and currently fighting off the hordes in Morning Sun and roll on the US Marines.

I would however have a request - please please hurry up and sort out Android and Ipad versions (Android first please :wink: ) as I would be playing even more when I'm stuck on public transport!

I agree. The Pacific scenarios are an example of great design.

I'm not so enthusiastic about the Morning Sun scenarios. But the designers had little to work with there. Perhaps the Sino-Japanese war wasn't the best idea for a campaign.

My kudos as well. The game is quick to pick up, but difficult to master. And the AI is better than almost any other I've played. Get the crashes, freezes, and various onscreen artifacts fixed and this is a game I'll be buying scenarios for a long time.

I really like OoB, too. I am especially looking forward to the US Marines campaign and what might come in future. I have not yet purchased Morning Sun, Bylandt11 echos my fears and seems to confirm them.

Nevertheless, might buy it alongside "US Marines" to fuel future development. A solid core is there.
