Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v7.1.6 Update

Thank you
Well somehow I can prove that the devs has implemented that Waffen SS also benefits from the Specialisations you pick for your force. I started Endsieg from scratch, imported my PK core and put a Waffen SS Stug to support the 5cm PAK in the north that gets attacked immideatly. When a T34 attacked the 5cm the Waffen SS Stug defended it like it was a Wermacht Stug with Pakfront. I also get double amount of CP's plus the 4 for previous mentioned Specs and I get double RP's for the Waffen SS.kondi754 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 7:44 pmThere wasn't added Waffen SS faction to the specializations.csv file in 7.1.6. versionGabeKnight wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 6:14 pmI've got to run now, but I'll check the updated files later today (I'll have to anyway, because of my mod).
But if you want to try it yourself in the meantime, I guess this should be quite obvious with specs like "Panzerkeil", "PAKfront" or "UHU Vampir-whatever". You should see a "blue cross" (supporting unit) right away if that's true - I hope not.
What?? My Beute-Bofors had a Bren-Carrier, which I found very useful. It's one of my core units during the whole war!AlbertoC wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 11:35 amWe are releasing a new update for Order of Battle, bringing its version number to 7.1.6.
This update consists mostly of fixes, and we would like to thank everyone who put an effort into reporting those bugs and issues to us! You can download the update from the Members' Area.
Development on Order of Battle continues, and we’re by no means finished with it. We have some big news in store for you, so stay tuned!

Well the gamebreaker is that I don't think it's intended to get double amount of Rp's and double amount of Cp's plus four extra if you have the specs for it. And I can't see anything about it in the changelog either.kondi754 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 8:26 pmIf it's like you say, I don't like this way of implementing the specialization for Waffen SS, because the game will be even easier now. I don't like this doubling the CPs effect...![]()
I believe that my specialization tree for the Waffen SS (in my historical MOd) is much better.
The next handicap from developers for occasional players, but I don't care anymore because I create mods for myself to play, the developer's version is interested only as material for the next mod for me now.
(BTW, skins for most British vehicles still don't work)
Good test. I don't think it's intended that those two factions share specs. And god I hope this bug's only with the Waffen-SS and does not mean that any allied factions will share specs from now on. Same issue with the Panzerkeil spec:Halvralf wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 8:17 pmWell somehow I can prove that the devs has implemented that Waffen SS also benefits from the Specialisations you pick for your force. If I understand your question, the file labeled 7.1.6 is a patch. You must have 7.1.4 installed in order to patch it to version 7.1.6. Yes, the patch file is very large. Both files can be found here, in your Members Area (make sure you are logged in, then click the link in the opening post of this thread to go to your Members Area):BKsh wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 7:50 pmexcuse me, because game is out for downloading in version 7.1.4, i don't understand if this update will be included in next revision of the game, and so it's still to upload on the official site, or the link on the first page of this thread remaind to a separate update to add to the downloaded version, or is already the full game version 7.1.6.
Sorry for the question but size of the zip file promted me to ask this. thank you
Just don't import a PK or BK core as it's bugged atm. DAK is ok thou.robertahyuk wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 7:18 pmThank you for the Update. I wasn't expecting it yet but it sure was nice to sit down and play BoB again! Good job. I think I'll go ahead and buy Endsieg now as it seems that 99% of the bugs have been fixed. Good job guys!
Any details on how it is bugged Halvralf?Halvralf wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 9:07 pmJust don't import a PK or BK core as it's bugged atm. If you import a core in PK or ES and it has Waffen SS spec it will double the CP's and RP's. see picture . There are also some other changes to the Waffen SS thats not mentioned in the changelog, that they benefit from the the specialisations like Wermacht.Mercutio wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 12:58 amAny details on how it is bugged Halvralf?Halvralf wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 9:07 pmJust don't import a PK or BK core as it's bugged atm. Thanks for the detective work, Halvralf. If I am understanding this, the portion that I underlined explains the bug. The developer may have made a decision to have the Waffen SS faction share specialisations with the Germany faction, which makes sense, but not when it comes to sharing the Waffen SS specialisation itself. When it does that, the effects of this specialisation are doubled. [Scratches head. Still a bit puzzled as to how this works behind the scenes.]
I agree Bru, I know Erik made a suggestion about it in the http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=541 Order of Battle Bug Submission thread and we had some discussions about it aswell. I can't seem to find any notes about it in the Changelog and Erik's suggestion is still marked as "New".bru888 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 23, 2019 2:57 pmThanks for the detective work, Halvralf.
