Is there a way to mod out the end date at all? Can't find where this data is kept.

Hello amore555,

At the moment the date is not moddable, but I will factor it out for a future patch. Notice that the upcoming patch (0.7.4) will provide the xml files for both mission data and text so that you can edit them using a text editor. I'm planning to release the internal development tools along with the "master spreadsheet" as well so that you folks can play around with it.

Cheers,

Does it even make sense to have an end date at this time? If you want us to help test all parts of the game, it would be useful that we could reach all parts of the game. Or maybe it's just me being slow to complete missions and not being able to send all of the mars and Venus missions before the current end of the game?

I agree that the end date is kind of pointless. I understand that at some point I can run into "Sorry, you can't launch a mission to Mars since they are not implemented yet" dialog. I would like to enjoy the other missions uninterrupted, or at least have an option to chose if there is an end date.

Thanks for the response, glad to hear it. Also sounds like you'll be supporting the modding community which is great, one only need look at, for example Kerbal Space Program to see how beneficial that can be :D
