ergonomy

Post by neoxul » Tue Nov 26, 2013 12:39 pm

Hello,
The GSA reeasearch is a bit disturbing to browse when playing.
The button 'manage program' that enable to access to open programm is useful, but should be accessible from all screens of the GSA Headquarters, in order to switch from one program to another one.
Another way to go would be a "filter " button that would enable to go to one program to the next but of course only "open" programs.

Does the fact to close a program will means something more than just removing it from the opened programs in the 'manage program' button ?

Do you think that having some quick button that would enable to go from a building to the others one would be a good idea ? (it could be some combo box on the bottom of the screen that would enable to go quickly to other buildings, or some speed button with little graphic to identify the building).

Thanks for your answer

I'm passing along all this suggestions to the UI artist to see what we can do.

It does, but notice that it by decreasing the number of opened programs you can open new ones without having to upgrade the Headquarters buildings (the Headquarters determine how many programs you can open concurrently).

Maybe we can do that by clicking on the information icons located in the bottom bar (e.g., the "Helmet" icon would take you to the astronaut center, the "Headset" icon would take you to Mission Control, etc). What do you think?

What would be the others effects ? Perhaps lower some maintenance costs ?

Seems good to me, it would also mean to add the others buildings as icons, (or it will limit these access to those buildings only ?)

I second this. Or make a hotkey (ctrl+M maybe?) that will bring us from any screen to the "manage programs screen".

I have added buttons for accessing the HQ and the PAO directly from the bottom bar as well. You'll see them in action in the next patch.
