Multiplayer version mis-match

Just convinced my friend to purchase this game but we are getting a version mis-match error in the multiplayer lobby.

We both are running v1.10
Game version Apr 25 2014 6b411063

Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

Yes, 2 different serials and accounts. I have had the game for a few years and his was just purchased and installed last night.

We both connect to the lobby fine and can see each other’s name. The versions match but we get the version mid-match message and are unable to start a match.

Since his install is fresh I’ll reinstall my version just to see if that helps but other than that we are stuck and I have no clue as to what is causing the mismatch error.

in the link it says or mentions it can be caused with capital letter or not being how the nick is wrote on the forums etc with the game, so both of you would need to check this part etc, as everyone else for 2 years now or so haven't had the issue since, so it's not a new issue as such, but something which was mentioned and sorted a while ago now, so hope you get to the bottom of it, with a quick check etc, goods luck, re post if not

I asked him last night to verify his login name but I just logged in myself to verify it and indeed he had a capital V instead of lower case v.

I’ll test again tonight after work and let you know how it goes.
