Three suggestions:

1) Entice Philips' light infantry to the back edge, and beat them with your heavies
2) save your light infantry, as much as possible, to hit the rear of Philips' heavies
3) target your missilers on philps' heavies the moment they hit the rough, or even just before.

Also, what battle formations are you setting up in? I use Balanced or Defensive for units that comprise the middle of my line, offensive for cavalry, missilers, and units flanking the enemy.

Good luck.

Hello Again,

Just wanted to say I have now won this battle!

I loaded a saved game - two back - and recruited some archers. After two or three attemps I managed to win - with just two or three seconds left!

What a tough one.

I hope they get easier!

Thanks for the advice.

Keith

Congratulations! I recall this battle being the last really difficult one.
