Is your laptop overheating? Do you hear the fans running in higher speed?

Haven't you had this issue in the past with BA? Try putting FPSLIMIT in your user.txt file and setting the value to 100. Tweak the value up and down until you find a value where the framerate is acceptable and you are not overheating.

- create a text file in My Documents/My Games/BA2 and name it USER.TXT.
- open the text file and add the line

FPSLIMIT 100

- save the file
- run the game

You can tinker with the value until you find a good balance.

Cheers

The number needs to go HIGHER to slow it down. So keep increasing it until you find the right value.

If your laptop is old like mine you might also improve things by turning off shadows.
