Desert Fox: The Battle of El Alamein is Now Available!!!

Post by BradTSS »

Hi Everyone,

Our next turn-based strategy game, Desert Fox: the Battle of El Alamein is now available on the app store for $9.99.

While featuring the same great polish and historical turn-based strategy gameplay you’ve come to expect from Battle of the Bulge and Drive on Moscow, this game brings a whole new experience to the table.

First, we’ve made the game more accessible to new players. Are you interested in strategy games but intimidated by steep learning curves? In Desert Fox we provide several tutorial scenarios that help you learn rules and strategy by playing. We’ve also improved the UI to be more clear about what you need to do and when.

Second, in this installment, you battle across a grand campaign, making key decisions and controlling the final engagement. Use minefields, ridges, and depressions to shape the battle lines. Going beyond previous games in the series, the campaign mode offers a new level of control and customization. As commander, you must decide when to attack or defend, when to hold for supplies and upgrades or push forward, and more, resulting in a unique play experience each game.

Check out more details on our blog.

Let us know your early impressions!

I have downloaded and begun my desert training. I have been waiting so long for this game; checking in every day of the spring.

Are there any plans to bring this game to other platforms such as Android, Windows 8 or Steam? I would really like to try out this or any other of your games, but they're currently exclusive to iOS. :(

This is a great addition to my collection, BoB, DoM, and Panzer Corp. Can't get enough of these marvellous games. Makes the owning of an iPad mandatory, at least for me! Any chance of a Cold War based game, using the same format as these? :) :) :)

Still waiting for mine.

Why is it made available to the general public before kickstarter investors.

So basically I paid my money over 2 years ago. I paid the same money that it is released to the public. And I get it after it has been made available to the general public.

Doesn't really scream "invest again".

Anyway really looking forward to the game when I do get it - apparently within the next 24 hours.

Cheers,

Nigel

Hi Nigel,

Sorry for the wait, we getting codes out as quickly as we can. The trick with fulfilling the Kickstarter is we can't actually buy you gift codes until the game is available to the public.

We are really grateful for your support and we trying to get codes out as quickly as we can.

Thanks,
Brad

Do you mean “Fixed counting of Axis exits to allow this win condition in Game Center?”

That would be very fun, but we're up to our eyeballs in Gettysburg ATM.

Now, if you feel like organizing one that would be wonderful - suspect there are a lot of people out there eager to test their strategies...
