Here are the six games we will play, starting with the Hungarian peasants in 1514.

Players should download the Extra Nations v3 from the 'Historical' section of the normal game, also the scenario

Hungarian peasants 1514 v Hungarian 1494-1526 (from Extra Nations v3)
Slovenian peasants 1514-16 v Imperialist 1494-1519 (from Extra Nations v3)
Danish peasants 1534 v Danish 1523-1542 9 (from Extra Nations v3)
Swedish peasants 1542 v Swedish 1523-1559 (from Extra Nations v3)
Jemmingen(Odenathus scenario, the rebels play the Dutch)
Hungarian Kuruc Rebellion 1672 v Imperial Austrian 1675 (from Le Roi Soleil)

Event guide-lines

- Play friendly and fairly
- Help new players if needed, especially the experts among you
- No points for winning, just glory for your team
- Report results in the thread set-up for that round, battle reports, banter, etc welcome
- Attack...attack...attack

Problems

And please let me know if there are any problems. Real life can intervene and you may have to drop-out or take a break or play slowly for a while. I fully understand, but just inform me and your opponent if need be so we can take account of it. We can usually find a solution.

First game to start from 15th January. Let's try to finish it by 24th February please.

I have enjoyed playing in all the events Alan has run.

But I especially enjoyed the previous event which was a mixture of battles between armies where the player chooses the troops and historical battles. This current event is 5 battles between player chosen forces and only 1 historical battle, which is actually a siege. Most of the battles are massed peasant pikes and a mixture of usually foot troops against the much smaller, better equipped and better morale forces of the Establishment.

I would like to suggest we include a few historical battles which were part of revolts. The two that come to mind are White Mountain where the Bohemians revolted against the Holy Roman Empire, and Edgehill where the the forces of Parliament took their stand against a king they viewed as a tyrant. These battles are very different to the peasant revolts and to each other. I'm sure others can come up with other battles that would add flavour to our enterprise.

I suggest then that we replace the Swedish peasants with Vinegar Hill, this will give us more variety of game.

Both Vinegar Hill and Edgehill appeal to me.

Andre these discussions are meant to be made when Alan first posts the Event & asks for players, not 1/2 way through.
As for Edgehill that would be part of an ECW Event.
As for Vinegar Hill it seems too far out of period to me.
