First result GDod (French) vs SMJohno77 (Spanish)

Nightfall fell as the Spanish retired from the field and the French continued to flounder around in the dark pursuing their own shadows. As dusk fell, the French suffered 39% losses and the Spanish 58% in a grueling match that saw a final rallying charge by a veteran Spanish Tercio in full view of their disordered and fragged cavalry who, regardless, continued to hastily evade their pursuing French foot.
Hé François! nous poursuivons ces espagnols à un rythme d'escargots...
Pas étonnant que Pierre je t'ai dit de ne pas manger autant d'escargots!

Second result GDod (Protestant) vs SMJohno77 (Catholic)
Again, night fell with a muffled thud. Prostrate bodies on the field felt the weight of night claim their last breathes as the jubilant protestants searched desperately for the surviving papists who were recently scattered fleeing into heavy woods to the north. The tired protestant ranks finally gave up the blinded chase despite the hurried rallying cry's of yet another catholic tercio that had not long ago tried to reform amidst the comforting anonymity of the forest.
Yet another torrid affair with no quarter given. While the Catholics were at mass on the ridge the protestant guns opened fire. The catholic forces, enraged that the officiating papal emissary was being targeted and conscious that their devotion had enabled the protestants to send encircling cavalry, the Kurassiers massed on the catholic left and descended at pace to put the protestant mounted arbequisers and supporting pike to flight. The catholic tercio's buoyed by this success struck the drum and advanced hurriedly down the ridge-line only to be met with withering massed musketry and heavy gun fire. To the veterans credit, they succeeded in putting a sole protestant tercio to flight before their mounting losses could no longer be sustained. The devastation among the ranks broke even the hardest veteran and sent them fleeing to the comfort of the woods as dusk set in. The papists lost 57 % whilst the righteous protestants keenly felt the loss of 41 % of their devoted brethren in arms.

SnuggleBunnies (French) defeats fikabo (Spanish) 5-52

Having lost my match as the Spanish, I feel the pain. The Spanish just don't have enough units to go around, and the Impact Foot of the French go a long way toward mitigating the large unit size advantage of the Spanish.

GDod (Catholic) defeats Odenathus (Protestant) 63% to 31% in another grueling slog between two hills. The catholic detached foot and horse raced out of the forest. After initial success dispatching the enemy skirmishers, they swung right to meet up with the successful light cavalry, which had dispatched the guns, dragoons and enemy light cavalry. Meanwhile, the protestant tercio's had made it around, and over, their hill to engage the Catholic Tercio's who came down the hill to meet them. As they engaged each other an sinful protestant kurassier avoided contact and broke through the center, dispatching the successful Catholic horse. Although, this underhanded protestant act saw some success on the Catholic right, the die was cast for their inevitable defeat as the Catholic center remained in tact. The superiority of the Catholic foot in such an enclosed space was never in doubt and the Protestant center collapsed.
The congratulatory message from the Bishop of Rome conveyed the following:-
The Catholic forces choice of a clean grassy hill was juxtaposed against the Protestant hill covered in rough ground and scrub - a sure sign that the Catholic cause was not only pure but protestant cause was corrupt and heretical!

awesum4 using Protestants beat Greetings 44 using Catholics. A very close game 64% to 52% with the Catholics being slightly ahead for almost the entire game. There were slightly more Protestant units which allowed them to get in flank charges against the mounted and eventually rear charges against later tercios. It was looking like a Catholic victory until 2 of his later tercios collapsed simultaneously. A most exciting and torrid game where no quarter was asked or given
