Has your passion for OoB shifted to somewhere else? Sorry for asking. I'm just making plans for how to spend my retirement.
There is a fairly new France 1940 campaign in the MicroMod, first post.
I have been saved again! Thanks
And don't forget Bru's Free French campaign. It is a massive effort that will provide lost of fun for many hours.

I know the mod includes tons of neat multiplayer scenarios, are there any plans for multiplayer korea stuff? Because I would be all over that in a second (single player seems a bit too challenging for me these days).

As I never could reproduce these "hangs" myself, it's super hard trying to anaylize the reason.

Almost all Korea unit mods use the stock infantry or unit models - just renamed and reordered. My "Gabe-Mod" uses far more new models, changed units, added unit graphics, changed effects and terrain mods.

There are only two "big" files that could cause problems with Korea: the "F9F_Panther" model is quite big and could be an issue and, as a test, you could also try removing the "atlas.tga" from \Graphics\Markers and see if it solves the hangs. Other than that and the modded terrain, I'm really not sure why the mod structure should be the problem.

I'll try this, thanks Gabe.
The funny thing is that the hangs are quite random, they 'never' happen during the same turn if I replay a scenario several times.
Somtimes the game will also hang when I try to move one of my own units.

Usually I do multiplayer for large battles, like the available Chosin reservoir scenario.
All the scenarios in the campaigns are squad-based and are not as suitable IMO. But I'll keep an eye on any possible candidates.

Thanks for letting me know. I remember reading a book about Chosin a few years ago and it would definitely take some work to do justice to.

Your comment got me hunting through my game library and I have started work on a Korea 1950-51, 52 weekly turns.
Don't know how it will turn out yet.

MicroMod problem.

I appear to have too many of them

I have to swop them in and out of the Mod Folder to play my MP turns.
Any thoughts on how I can rectify my incompetence?

Although I get the same error message, I find that if I just click on the scenario / turn directly and wait a moment I end up getting the option of doing it anyway. Is that not the case for you?

If you have the proper game folders (same name etc) you should have no problem running all games from the same mod.
I do that.

My MicroMod looks like this and covers all my current multiplayer games which started in an earlier MicroMod version.

When I install the mod I just use the same folder and overwrite everything that's a duplicate filename. Works out for me.

Sup, guys. I'm new to this game and would like to ask: what are the main differences between Erik's campaigns and the devs campaigns? How those two compare? Can I import my previous campaign units in Erik's like in dev campaigns? Even so I understand Erik's campaigns are more difficulty (or so it seens) I don't want to play two times the same 'flavour' campaing, so I rather have a tough start than play dev first and Erik's second.

Heh, I banged my head against the wall a lot myself before figuring it out, I just couldn't bring myself to ask for help publicly ;)

Post by Erik2 »

Korea mod 1.6
Added a number of new units (using existing graphics).

1v2 Korea 1950-51 0.9
Multiplayer. Large 7.5km hex map, 52 weekly turns, regiment/division-sixed units. Artillery units with reduced range.

Korea 1950 Pt.2
Full campaign.
Note that I have not had the time yet to test the whole campaign.

MicroMod 2.4

Post by Erik2 »

Banzai 1939-41 campaign has been moved to an upcoming SquadMod with range stats for 40-meter hex scenarios.

1v3 Escaut 1940 2.0
Moved from battalion to regiment-units to reduce unit-clutter.
Germany (only) now has free deployment for better play-balance.
