Hallo Erik, yes, its really odd and the problem remains unfortunately. I keep the campaign in the custom content folder, not in the mod folder, could there be a reason?

This is the correct place for custom campaigns and scenarios (PC):

Regarding Road to Moscow.

Erik, I'm absolutely loving this campaign and have had no issues on my old PC. Even though these appear to be much larger in map size and unit count than your US Naval campaign, the AI turns have not been much longer than usual. The starting load times are longer, which should be expected. With the maps as big as they are, they allow for some real fun blitzkrieg action encircling enemy positions. There are always several different battles occurring simultaneously, some larger and some smaller. An excellent mix.

Here is my impression of the scenarios so far, and I always play on normal difficultly:

Crossing the Border - For a first time play-through, this was just about perfect. I completed two Secondary objectives on the very last turn for the Major Victory, after I had already resigned myself a couple of turns earlier to settling for the Minor. Can't ask for a better balance than that.

Smolensk - Also pretty good in that all objectives were completed with just a few turns remaining.

At this point I chose to push straight for Moscow:

Directive 35 - The initial battles were very tense and I loved it. But I thought there would be a second line of defense around Moscow and the static defenses were cleared out rather quickly. Finished this one on turn 30 while half expecting some form of surprise to push it closer to the 59 turn mark.

Counter Attack - Again, the initial attack was tense but as we all know, the AI isn't that great on the offensive. I held off the assault on Moscow while one group to the north and another to the south were conducting their own counter offensives. The last Russian unit was eliminated on turn 26 and by turn 35 had captured every flag on the map.

I'll be going back and choosing the other branch next.

Great Work!

Thanks for the Road to Moscow comments.

The Soviet defense of Moscow can easily be stepped up. I used MG nests for workers brigades for instance, these can be replaced by conscript units.

If I can make a suggestion. Perhaps the allotment of CPs for Counter Attack is overly generous and it may be a better challenge to scale it back a bit.

US Corps 43-44. Once again, the amazing Erik has put together a campaign that is keeping me away form both work and sleep (only halfway through so far) Medium difficulty level: enemy has 12 strength. Resources scare: Up through scenario 5 I have not yet once been able to field all units I could have if I had RPs. Strategy: lots of options and sometime tricks win (one thing I did not like about regular DLCs is that they force you into one strattegy (take airfield by turn 5 and city by turn 10).

I do feel it is a little short on RPs, but maybe that is because I did not get any core units from US Corps 42-43 or something. I'm lucky if I have 400 RPs at any start, with at least 100 going to repairs.

Still, I love Erik's design skill, the best I have seen in 30 years of gaming, and no, it is not just because the Panzercorps games were good. He is my hero and I wish there was someway I could thank him.

That's rather odd. I just completed it with a Major, but it said I had 10 of 8 objectives.

There are actually 9 Soviet-held primary VP's that Erik points to on the map. The 10th primary VP is Yelna, which the Germans hold at the beginning:

Which is why, before the Germans have even picked up their rifles, they already have one VP credited toward the objective:

The easiest resolution would be merely to change the mission to "Capture/hold at least 8 objectives until scenario end." I would bet, however, that Erik chooses to "Capture/hold all 10 objectives until scenario end" and bumps the trigger up to "Ger 10 objs" with Value > 9.

I have installed the latest update, and placed all the campaigns in the correct folder under MyGames, but the Custom button does not appear. Do you have any suggestions as to why this may be?

I think you need to have purchased at least one DLC to play custom scenarios/campaigns, multiplayer, using the editors.
If you have purchased DLC(s), I do not know what the issue may be.

Hmmm, interesting. I have all the DLCs, but it's not working for me. I'll keep trying.

And you have of course updated the game to the latest version?
Are you able to play other custom campaigns than mine?

Doh! Figures, I just completed a replay of this campaign. :)

I made notes while playing and think most of this should still apply. I had played this campaign back in February and found it so difficult that I had to drop the difficulty down to Lieutenant, but after a few more of Erik's campaigns under my belt decided to go back and try again on normal difficulty. Except as noted below, I achieved at least a minor victory in each scenario but it often took several attempts. By and large the scenarios are pretty well balanced, which I'm defining as completing a Minor with less than 5 turns remaining. Any scenarios not mentioned below are deemed balanced, and usually pretty darn tough.

Poznan - This is an excellent first scenario, simple and small scale yet very tough. And the Major Victory keeps eluding me. Is it possible to remove the 2 Air Commanders that are only usable against naval targets and introduce them in a later scenario?

Danzig North - After capturing Danzig and a couple of bridges, the huge Polish army in the south is critically under supplied. It was more of a mop-up operation than a battle and in a rare case of poor balancing, was completed just past the halfway point.

Kampineska Forest - No commander reward for capture of Turskaw.

After Modlin there was a notice stating I could choose the next attack location but there was no option to do so.

Brest - Maybe the problem has been fixed? But I found that if the Germans capture an objective first and then lose it to the Russians, the objective can never be completed even after the Germans recapture it. I had to replay and let the Russians capture most of the objectives first and then storm in and take them.

Oslo - Could not place any units! I thought maybe there would be a delayed deployment so went ahead and played it anyway, but was only able to deploy units in Oslo after capturing it. The map was way too big to then transport units back south. I did console my self by capturing Erik's House. Since I figured this scenario needed fixing, I went back and chose:

Bergen - The "Open Supply Line Bergen - Oslo" objective didn't present itself until 2 turns before the end of the scenario but was immediately failed. Since Voss was the last Primary Objective, the scenario ended at the start of the next turn anyway, so it wouldn't even be possible to open the supply line. Not happy with this result, I then chose:

Trondhiem - It took several attempts just to get a single supply ship past the coastal guns. After I finally accomplished that feat the scenario progressed well enough until the Allied fleet arrived at Trondhiem. I inadvertently moved my garrison unit to try and spot a target for my coastal gun only to discover the Game Over device built into the scenario. Since the map is so large none of my other units would be able to return to recapture the city. This was after several hours of my time was put into this scenario and I was upset enough to say f##k it. So, next I tried:

Narvik - Capturing the Primary Objectives was quick and easy enough, then it just becomes a defensive operation holding off the counter attacks. I'm not sure what the point is of including the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. They don't appear to contribute to anything and are helpless against the might of the Allied fleet. It takes a lot of our time to watch the Allies pursue and then eventually destroy them, to no benefit of the player.

Eben - Germans start with insufficient supply to deploy all CP's.

Albert Canal - Germans start with insufficient supply if you choose to drop the Fallschirmjagers early.

Sedan - Something seems to be wrong with the spawning of supply ships. North of Sedan worked fine but I wanted to cross south of Sedan, and no ships would spawn there until after Sedan was already captured.

Stonne - This was extremely tough, your addition of more turns should balance it out.

Wassigny - Didn't even get close to Le Chateau-Cambresis. It took a few attempts just to capture Wassigny and then there were only a couple turns left anyway. That turned out to be a good thing because my elite Fallschirmjager unit on garrison duty in Anor was surrounded by the counter attack and on the verge of being eliminated when the scenario ended. Settled for the Draw.

Dunkerque - A rare case of a not very difficult scenario, finished on turn 16 of 24.

Just have to close by saying how much I enjoy playing your campaigns Erik, thank you!

Almost forgot, isn't the B2-740(f) tank a little overpowered? Not with the defense and attack scores, but it has the ability to move through forest like it was open terrain. It's my favourite unit.
