I wouldn't be so sure it's a problem on your end. I'd install the latest version and test it myself but I'm a little gun shy truth be told. I will get around to it in due course mind you. I've been playing tons of something called Don't Starve Together so that's another distraction, heh. Thing is the current Battle of the Bulge game (I think we're in the same one but different sides?) is pretty darn intense too, I've never played as the allies before so I have no clue when or if reinforcements are going to show up. Pretty important because at the start of the game anyway there are loads of huge gaps for German units to sneak through. If I had known when I was playing as Germany it might change my approach.

MicroMod and multiplayer

Ladies & Gangster

Unfortunately, several players have various issues with MicroMod and multiplayer scenarios.
Slitherine support does not provide help with mods (I have no issues myself).
So I have decided to stop creating multiplayer scenarios for this mod, it is simply too much hassle.

Erik, I probably already asked this, but couldn't find anything with the search function:

At what difficulty have your campaigns been tested?
Are they winnable at level V? Has anyone ever tried them at such level?
How difficult are they compared to the official winter war dlc?

I always test my stuff at level 3.
I'm a mediocre player and would probably be utterly defeated at a higher level :wink:

There are a few macho guys on the forum that play at higher/highest level. Can't remember any names though...
You could ask in the top Order of Battle forum. Or maybe even try playing a campaign at level 4-5 and report back :D

I think I'm pretty good at multiplayer but the campaigns totally wreck me, even on the easiest settings... I'm still in a confused sulk over getting destroyed by Poland in the first stage :P

Finally got around to installing the latest mod and I noticed something interesting. There actually IS a common factor to those scenarios which have the unable to join bug / glitch. They're the ones which have the gold star / grey star glitch. In other words I cannot join Lyuban but I was able to successfully join Japan - China 1937. This suggests it's unrelated to who creates or plays those games.

Unfortunately, it looks like the presence of the gold start versions of custom scenarios is a bug.
I've tried experimenting with the true/false settings in the mod file, but no luck in removing the gold versions.
Note that all my multiplayer scenarios have both gold/silver versions. It is still a mystery (for me at least) why players can join some, but not others.

I had initially thought all multiplayer scenarios have the gold / grey star bug, but when I saw the first post here it indicated only the scenarios in red have it. And those red scenarios, which only encompass some of the multiplayer scenarios, correspond with the ones I can't join. But ultimately the entire thing is a bit of a mystery.

If you mean the red scenarios on the multiplayer server, they are scenarios belonging to a different mod than the one you are currently using.

Drat it isn't showing up. Okay when I look at the first post in this thread (in other words, what's above), both the Korea 1.4 and the Lyuban 1.0 are in red text. And those are both the scenarios that don't work in multiplayer. So that's what caught my attention. For some reason it's all just black text here though...

Similar problem with me. In my case the "end turn" button never appeared after finishing watching the previous player's moves. And I couldn't do anything with my own units aside from click the "next unit" arrow. Its movement range would be highlighted but I couldn't actually move or interact with it in any way. Ended up just resigning.

To whom it may concern.

The Overview/EndTurn bug has 'done for' all six of my China-Japan games. A shame, I thought this scenario had potential.. if it could get past turn 7 :roll:

I always play at the most difficult level now. There are some scenarios where it would be impossible to win at this level without adding more turns, since the enemy units are always at level 13 and take longer to eliminate. A good example is part of a naval scenario in Bru's France campaign, where a single destroyer has to destroy harbor guns before the D-Day invasion force shows up. It is possible but would take 37 of the 40 turns allotted as is. Likewise, some scenarios might just be impossible to win at all at teh highest level.

But really, don't be scared of the highest level. It is not really that much harder.
