Have downloaded Micromod 2.8 but get the same black screen problem. Unfortunately I don't have any old versions kicking around - suggestions please?KarisFraMauro wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 6:29 pm Not sure I still have version 2.3, but I do have earlier ones lying around so I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion, it would suck if I couldn't play these games
And it worked! Problem solved. Technology sure is weird... Joined the danzig and bulge games, never played as one of the allies in bulge so that will be a change.

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods
This is a very odd issue.
Try this link to the old MicroMod 2.6.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/sjzvyrx32dzo5 ... 6.zip?dl=0
Install it, check that it work, then install 2.8 on top of it and say 'yes' to overwrite files.
Hope this helps.

MicroMod 2.9
MicroMod 2.9
Download link in first post.
If you have a previous version, unzip the mod and overwrite the old files. This lets you continue to play older multiplayer scenario versions.
2v1 Danzig Corridor 1939 1.3:
A couple of minor changes to Luftwaffe.
The sole Polish air unit is now core.
Increased Germany east and west factions RP income.
Added additional ports.
Added Polish subs.
The destroyer Gryf has been replaced with a more proper minelayer Gryf.
Added a couple of Kriegsmarine minor ships as reinforcements.
Replaced Difficult terrain with Clear on all road and track hexes to speed up movement.

OK, so I downloaded 2.9, got a black screen. Then overwrote with 2.6 and that worked. So then overwrote 2.6 with 2.9 again and again get a black screen...Erik2 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 8:26 am This is a very odd issue.

I have no idea why this issue cropped up at some point. My mod works fine of course.SagsGames77 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 11:36 amOK, so I downloaded 2.9, got a black screen. The only thing I can think of is that the Settings -> options.dat is removed from the zip because my 4k options created problems for players with 'normal' monitors.
Default behaviour is for the game to create a new options file the first time you run the game/mod.
Maybe you could try installing the old 2.6, duplicate the options file, overwrite the mod and move the old options file back in the Settings folder.
Then run the game/mod.
Korea mod 1.9
Korea mod 1.9

1v2 Korea 1950-51 1.3:
Changed Climate from Mud to Default for a more fluid game.
Increased RP income for all UN factions.
All US Marines are now core units.
Minor changes to Soviet/Chinese intervention triggers.

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods
Sounds like sensible changes. So far it does feel like things get bogged down somewhat, although overall I've found myself quite enjoying the two different versions of Korea I've played so far. Look forwards to giving these a try.
Mods & black screen
I did a test.
Removed my local MicroMod and Korea mods and downloaded/installed both from the dropbox zips.
Restarted my PC, ran OOB and selected the fresh mods. Both worked fine.
I then created a new Settings/options.dat using standard HD fullscreen (non-windows).
I have added this options.dat to the current MicroMod and Korea zips.
I have also attached it here.
Hope this helps for those of you who get the dreaded black screen when running the mods.

I doubt the UN troops will be able to reach their objectives in time in the current version.KarisFraMauro wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 2:50 am Sounds like sensible changes. At some point the map will swarm with Chinese units....

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods
Unfortunately we won't know for a while. After installing the latest version, our other two games don't load - no matter how long I wait. Will sort out my problem later on today, sorry for the delay

I confess I thought I'd wait until someone else had successfully installed the latest Korea mod, just in case...

Uninstalled OOB completely.
Deleted all Mods from their folder.
Reinstalled OOB.
Downloaded Micromod 1.9 and tried it - black screen.
Replaced options.dat in the Settings folder of Micromod with this one and restarted Mod - black screen.
Rebooted computer and tried again - black screen again.
Downloaded Korea mod - it (the Korea mod, not Micromod) works fine.

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods
Have you tried Brenmusik's approach? It's a lot simpler and worked for me.

You should be able to unzip and then copy the Korea 50-51 folder to the mod's Scenarios folder.
There are no changes to units, csv or other mod files in Korea.KarisFraMauro wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 7:12 pm I confess I thought I'd wait until someone else had successfully installed the latest Korea mod, just in case...

This is a new one
In other news, I've posted three 1.3 games looking forward to the lack of mud

I've been seeing the weird visual glitches for a while, but since they don't have any impact on gameplay just ignored them.
