2v2 Battle of the Bulge 1.6
The Germans are required to exit just one panzer unit (primary objective).
Added resource income for US factions in the last half of the battle.
Reduced German Wehrmacht resources.
Increased Waffen SS resources.
Each German faction get 100 resources for each US fuel dump destroyed (by a land unit). The specific US fuel dump owner loses 100 resources.
A German fuel dump owner loses 100 resources for each fuel dump destroyed (by any type of unit).
Better distribution of Luftwaffe commanders between the German factions.
Replaced US Lysanders with Grashoppers.
2v1 Danzig Corridor 1939 1.2
Changed primary & secondary objectives.
Polish coastal guns are now full strength and fully fortified.
Added 5 supply to all towns.
Replaced Polish unit spawns with resources and command points.
Replaced Difficult with Clear terrain on paved roads.
Increased Polish supply at Hel.
Increased Polish resources income.
(The scenario runs for 50 turns just to make sure it doesn't stop prematurely during multiplayer tests)

Just installed and tried the new mod, screen goes black and unresponsive Other stuff like Korea still seems to work fine though.

I updated the units.csv file with a couple of fresh 9.07 unit types, so if you're still on 9.06 that might cause a hiccup.

Ah... I'll see if I can change to this 9.07 thing then, fingers crossed.
No luck. When I opened the original unmodded game it said it was already version 9.07. Quitting and then trying again with the 2.8 mod generates the same result as always, black screen with no response. It's actually like the loading delay I get of a couple seconds with other mods like Korea, but here even though I wait a minute it just sticks without moving on to the graphics.

It happened once before. I "cured it" by reverting to an earlier 2.* mod and dropped the up dated scenarios into it.
I'll be trying that again later this evening, and now on to Korea - I hope the mud has dried up

... Argh, no new Korea, the mud remains, I misread the PM time to give my aforementioned "cure" ... I might be some time!
Not as long as I thought. It took two attempts, first one - the reported black screen. Take two, removed the MicroMod and put in my reliable 2.3 then 2.8 on top and not overwriting any of the files when given to choice.
All working, signed up for a Danzig (Plucky Poland) and one Bulge - only able to take the first open slot time they fixed that.

Not sure I still have version 2.3, but I do have earlier ones lying around so I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion, it would suck if I couldn't play these games
And it worked! Problem solved. Technology sure is weird... Joined the danzig and bulge games, never played as one of the allies in bulge so that will be a change.

Re Korea
The only planned change so far is changing climate from mud to clear to speed up the unit movements.
Do the trusty beta-testers have any other changes they'd like to see?
We're only half-way through one game, so probably too early to say anything definite about play balance.

I think retaining some difficult terrain is fine, are you planning to get rid of all, most or just some of it? I'm also a little curious about paratroopers, although the question of historical accuracy plays a role. Probably not the most favourable landscape for that sort of thing.

Yeah, I need to play a bit more to get a real feel for things but as it is now a draw seems the likely outcome. It's very difficult to see North Korea obtaining their win conditions when by the time they get even close to the south there are more than enough reinforcements, aircraft and ships to push them back. I haven't seen how strong NK is by the time the UN forces get close to reaching their objectives but if it's anything like how it played out in reality things aren't too different. On the other hand that would make it pretty balanced, so I'm not super bothered even if it is the case.

The NKs will never reach all the sec objs on their own.

The issue of Chinese reinforcements is something I've been wondering about. As I understand things, it's triggered by the UN taking certain NK towns. But, if I as NK do well, those towns won't be taken, or only be taken very late in the game. In both cases I'm punished for doing well by being denied the reinforcements I need. This doesn't seem right. I could lose on purpose, but this is something first time players won't know and will therefore be at a disadvantage.
How about this? The reinforcements are triggered by the UN taking certain towns, or by a certain turn limit, whichever comes first? If that's too complicated maybe just have them show up automatically on turn x or something.
Also looks like I can no longer play the earlier versions of Battle of the Bulge. Doesn't really matter since I understand you're quitting those games anyway, just I feel bad that now we have to wait 57 (!) days for them to get removed.

I read a good book on the topic a few years ago. As for the film, it was covered in a BBC article a week or so ago. I've seen a fair number of mainland Chinese films (the Detective Dee series for example) and wasn't too impressed.

Maybe I'll change prin objs so that the NKs will get some kind of victory if they do not lose any home-towns.No promises.

Is there a version of the mod 2.0 lying around? Looks like if I can get my hands on that I can wrap up the earlier Battle of the Bulge games, but I seem to have misplaced mine at some point.
Yeah fiddling with the objectives is probably more practical than other measures with respect to Korea. Of course we haven't even finished one game so there's still plenty to consider.
