FYI, I think that the shading of imported models has been improved, if I'm not mistaken.
Before, there was always a difference between your AT version of the Armoured Train and mine. Now it's gone.

If that's true that's an awesome good news... It really frustrated me.

I really hope they will allow us to use plane prop and exhaust nodes as well), perhaps radar around the Z axis (for helis)

Ver 0.8 is about to be ready, this weekend.

I'm struggling with the unit pics, there is much to be done, because there is no more placeholder, and you can't click on the tiny white rectangle. Yea I'm damn lazy... that's it. I'm in quarantine so time, there is.

Really operatinal, from same source, it was employed mostly by Regia Aeronautica in Lybia campaign - so that camo seems fit. Or else, for Hungarian AF or, perhaps, to be used in Erik's Banzai with Nationalist China against the Japanese. I'd prefer, if it comes to a vote, Italian colors.

I will make an Austrian, Hungarian, Italian at first... see above there are hundreds of options. Spain will be later, this is just the tip of the iceberg


edit: I was thinking, One Austrian (silver), Two Italian (pre war, early WW2 1940-41), Two Hungarian (Pre war, Early WW2) but no idea on Spain or Italian legioners in Spain

Quick test with the stock CR42 skin... definitely does not fit, but helps to debug. Here, I need to remake the windshield :roll:

Personally I would wish for a texture that I can use playing with the main factions. Yeah, for my mod, I mean. :wink:

It's nice to have some Hungarian and whatnot faction's textures and models, but as the main custom stuff designers in this forum refuse to use mods to create scens, personally (and this is only my opinion!) I see no point creating textures for models that no-one's ever going to use and see...

Main factions, of course, I wrote there will be three, the three main user nation for this particular plane :D :roll:

I didn't know... Most disappointing to hear that not even the scenario makers use custom units... is it true? The devs have to time to integrate,they say. But scenario makers? Inserting a new unit via the import method to the game is like 10-15mins (in case of pivot and anim bugs, and 2-3 game restarts). If something is correct and working, adding it is 10 seconds instead. :roll:

I made this model in a month but all in all it was like 10-12 hours continuously. But it's a new and not a modified existing unit. And I'm not a pro I have to work 12 hours a day :?

It's just a test with an image from the net. I need to make a layered image from which any skin can be done in 10 mins or less.

What I meant was to use the same faction colours for the basic textures as the game does. That's a very important point, for me at least. They should fit into the game's colour scheme for each nation. The rest of the markings, I really don't care, take whatever is easiest.

And forgive my ignorance, but what three main factions use this plane? Brits, Germans or US besides the Italians? "Minor" nations like the Austrians and Hungarians are not playable (or rather: purchaseable), ever.

There's the Spanish Civil War mod and the Korean War mod available. Both should work.

Then there was some WinterWar mod and some French dogfighter campaign (forgot the name) ages ago. And that's it.

Other than that there's a flag mod, a counter mod, Mr.T's forgotten units mod, your AAA mod and mine; but no scens.
