The graphics folders should not cause any issues. I've compared the data folders with the originals and could not find any glaring mistakes.
Thanks for investigating.

Re: Erik's Korean War
Hi Erik,
Are you satisfied with such a Tiger on Sherman tank ?
Unfortunately, I couldn't find better logo, in addition, this version of the camouflage will only apply to Sherman tanks, because other tanks have a star here, next issue - each other type of tank (Pershing, Chaffee) has a different texture mapping, so you would have to create a separate skin for each of them.
I also prepared such a skin without a Tiger and I'm planning at least two more.

Re: Erik's Korean War
Hey, nice touch, these Tigers!
Re: Erik's Korean War
Excellent, makes me want to purchase Shermans instead of Pershings.
I'm currently testing the last scenario in an upcoming full Korea 1950 campaign, so this skin is nicely timed.

Re: Erik's Korean War
Camouflage is not an indicator ))) It will still be safer in Pershing
https://spetsialny.livejournal.com/568421.htmlThe photo shows the crew of the North Korean T-34-85, which destroyed the American F-80C "Shooting Star" jet fighter on July 3, 1950. That's how it was.
On July 3, 1950, four F-80C Shooting Star fighter-bombers, led by the commander of the 80th fighter-bomber squadron, Major Amos Sluder, went to the Pyongye-Ri area to attack North Korean equipment moving towards the front line.
The Shooting Stars were considered an ideal aircraft for low-level attacks, but due to its limited maneuverability and weak armament, the F-80 was not able to fight on equal terms even with the piston-engined Yak-9P.
Finding a column of about 90 vehicles accompanied by four tanks, the Americans went on the attack, using unguided missiles from a low altitude and opening fire from wing (probably an error in the source !) 12.7-mm machine guns.
However, an unexpected response came from the North Koreans: the T-34-85 opened fire from 85-mm guns on low-flying aircraft.
A well-fired shell exploded in front of the pilot's plane and damaged the fuel tanks with shrapnel. There was a fire on board. Captain Verne Peterson, who was leading the way, radioed Major Sluder: "Boss, you're burning up! You better jump." In response, the commander asked to indicate the direction to the South, where he was obviously going to turn around, but at the same time the plane collapsed and the burning debris crashed to the ground. Major Amos Sluder became the first pilot of the 5th Air Force to die in combat on the Korean Peninsula.
Beautiful but not very effective + all the artillery of the north will shoot at the gaudy tank )))

I believe that the main enemy of the T-34-85 tanks of the 1944 model was more of a super bazooka than the Chafi tanks and another cordon )))

Re: Shermans
Sherman tank was created at a time when the American military doctrine assumed that tanks were to be primarily infantry support and operate in the enemy's operational space (after breaking his defense). Anti-tank guns and SP tank destroyers were dedicated to fighting tanks.
Nevertheless, Sherman had a lot of development potential and was also generally good against enemy medium tanks. Its great advantage over Russian tanks (especially the T-34) was its ergonomics and even some comfort of work and combat for the crew.
Caliber of a gun and armor are not everything...
The Israeli Shermans (after many modifications) performed very well against modern Arab T-54s and T-55s during the Six Day War.

Did I say somewhere that Sherman is a bad tank ? I know about the Israeli super shermans but the Arabs are cowards they do not give up any equipment they will throw it

Re: Erik's Korean War
Agree. The most important thing about a tank is a well-trained and disciplined crew. There is no doubt for me that the Israelis would have a much harder time if Soviet tankers were sitting in the T-54 and T-55.
Re: Erik's Korean War
'Valley of Tears' (Yom Kippur) on HBO is an interesting series, especially the tank battles on the Golan hills.
Re: Erik's Korean War
You are absolute Arabs do not know how to fight ) The Soviet crew is strong and heroic, the Arabs are cowards ) Vietnamese heroes and Jews too

Yes, I have also seen this series and I highly recommend it. This series is very critical of the Israeli army and the state of Israel in the 70s. Seems that fairly represents the Yom-Kippur war
Learned a new term - "champagne opening"
It was about hitting a Syrian tank, but there were no Shermans only Centurions

Re: Erik's Korean War - 40mm AA Seriously underpowered!
Hi, I'm giving your Korean War Mod a go. It seems fine except for the stats of one unit:
M42 Duster:
1. This unit should not be included. It showed up much later in the campaign. It should be the M-19.
2. It is seriously under powered in terms of Land attack and defense.
Have you read the history? The M-19's were extremely effective in the Anti-Infantry role. So much so, if they had been able to deliver the correct 40mm ammo, in quantity to the troops at Haguri-ri, the whole Chosoin Reservoir Battle may have taken a different directison.

Re: Erik's Korean War - 40mm AA Seriously underpowered!
You are correct of course. I will fix the starting date for the M42 and the stats (a bit lower than the M19 to reflect the twin 40mm vs the single one).kverdon wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 5:04 am Hi, I'm giving your Korean War Mod a go. It seems fine except for the stats of one unit:

The M19 GMC is already in the game, I'll check the scenarios and replace any M42s with M19s.
Re: Erik's Korean War
Thanks for the adjustments to the M42/M19 however both units had twin 40 mm, just a different chassis. I’m loving the Korea scenarios but for some odd reason it seems to be locking up a lot. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the mod and the current code. It’s totally random, sometimes happening when a unit moves or fires or when I hit then End Turn button. An app kill followed by. A reload usually gets things going for a while.

Based on what's happening with the test of Operation Pedastal, mods do indeed work in multiplayer So... Korean War multiplayer map?
