storyline mostly great ,really enjoyed that side of things (bit more of wagners 'somethings wrong' this was never explained
good mixture of maps

bad points

maybe bit early for real tigers
too many bugs, really poor that commendations/heroes etc were bugged
the big consequence at end was a bit flat, the war turning on escorting 6 trucks out of town.
still nothing to help sort heroes , not even listing them in alphabetical order, really need something with the maps almost forcing you to change heros around much more.

really bad

introducing 2 new challenge modes that are bugged, reduced stock is really poorly thought out which is a crying shame as it could have been awesome, no difference in levels so just picking a number out of the air seems lazy. It blocks you getting transport which is crazy and breaks early missions, try starting at 1939 with no infantry and you allowed 1 unit of each with only 5 reserves. good luck with your1 paratrooper unit when those missions come around.

think this really annoyed as i played through alot of dlc thinking cant wait to go back and try out the reduced supply mode
Half of them are not "AO 42", but "what came/didn't came together with AO 42 release". I think it's better to seperate them when talking about experience of the AO 42 campaign itself.

I'm glad to hear the story and maps were interesting. I definitely had a lot of fun with many character callbacks and mixing in real history, especially in Operation Cerberus.

As for the bugs.... yea that's a problem. I hope we can fix them. From the look of things, this will probably be the biggest post launch patch for a PzC2 DLC to date.

The canon result is for Galland to follow his historical path.

The choice was there to not force players to also follow that historical path if they choose not to.

Do you want to continue to import from Spain with a crazy hero stacked powerful force and smash the content with hero teams? You can if you want to.
Do you trim your heroes and limit their power by invoking features such as limit 1 hero per unit or reduce the slider bar to not receive a hero 100% of the time for each mission? You can if you want to.
Do you prefer a fresh start with the pre-set gallery of heroes at the start of the DLC? You can if you want to.
Do you want to opt out of heroes entirely? Can even do that if you really want to.

Hero management really is entirely up to player freedom of choice.

Forcing Galland retirement would go against that theme.

with all due respect, i love evrything that you guys have created so far, but that is beyond the point, the thing is it just creates a false choice and a paradox, he will be general of fighter and at the same time he is flying in your fighter squadrons, that is the point i was raising

apparently the uber import core is excellent for a generalissimus-david & goliath-heroic showdown playthrough and it has some room to add another difficulty setting. extremely interesting to play that way.

But you could have simply replaced him with a new fighter hero with similar or identical bonuses. Then it wouldn't have mattered. The player would still have his fighter ace and then it would have fit the narrative perfectly. I don't think anyone would say no to that. Why would they? Because they're in love with his picture?

"Herr General, we regret to inform you that Major Galland is being promoted and reassigned. We understand that losing such a capable officer that has served under you for so long is disappointing, but we feel that you find his replacement, Major _________, quite capable of filling Major Galland's shoes." Or something to that effect.

But I have noticed from Pat Ward's posts that creating historical heroes with real portraits is a lot more complicated than it was when PC1 was being produced...
