Cylon Threat Level

I notice Cylon threat level increases when:

1. The player completes a story mission.
2. Time passes.

Cylon threat level decreases when a player completes a resource mission.

There doesn't seem to be any penalty however to ignoring resource missions. I thought it might be an idea to tweak the mechanic so that if a player completes a resource mission, the treat level goes down. But if a player does not complete a resource mission – the threat level goes up by the corresponding amount.

It just seems to me a little odd that if you ignore Cylon activity, and give them free reign to attack colony ships, hunt down medical transports, abduct civilians, etc...that their threat level wouldn't go up. Its rather threatening behaviour.

What do you guys think?

Agreed. Although I haven't missed an assignment yet. ;)
