It depends on the best historical break point for the army list, when the list composition would change for the following period, so it varies from faction to faction. The south Welsh only go up to 1197 because that is when the English conquest of South Wales was complete.Dux Limitis wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 9:48 amWait,is not up to 1270ad?rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 9:49 amTo which end, here is the detailed list of army lists:

Re: Field of Glory 2: Medieval - Out on February 4th
What's with all the lists ending in 1319? It seems a bit odd that so many apparently unrelated factions end in 1319, especially when the game only goes to 1270!

Re: Field of Glory 2: Medieval - Out on February 4th
The game system is eventually planned to go up to 1500 A.D. Many factions will switch the knights models (and their classification) used at 1320, as well as various other aspects of the composition of their armies.
We did not want to have Date filtered armies with later knight models facing the earlier knight models, so where historically possible we standardised the cut-off date at 1319 AD.
We don't want to have to put duplicate 1270-1319 lists in the DLCs, nor was there much point in putting the end dates in now as 1270 and then extending them to 1319 later if the list would otherwise be identical.

Are the Byzantine and Muslim lists going to be added in DLC? Will there eventually be a Hussite list with implemented War Wagons?

Re: Field of Glory 2: Medieval - Out on February 4th
Fantastic!
Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen a Hussite War Wagon implemented in a video game. Been puzzling over the same question for a board game idea I've been working on.
Based on previous mechanics you've used, it could be like an attachment to a Handgunner unit (and gives them strong impact POA to complement their existing ranged ability) similar to how Light Guns are shown with Swedish Salvo foot or various units in Sengoku. Or it could be it's own single model unit and use the Phalanx/Limber button to transition from a mobile wagon with powerful impact POA vs. infantry, to a stationary ranged unit with high impact POA vs. all and strong melee vs. cavalry.......that could represent how the unit was used for anti-cavalry defense when stationary, but when mobile, could be used to break through infantry. And that the main way Sigismund and others tried to counter them was with dismounted knights with heavy weapons.
Presumably the rest of the army will be represented by two lists: one for the Utraquist Moderates and Praguers, and one for the Radical Taborites. The Moderates would have access to some knight cavalry and low quality urban militia, while the Radicals would have increased access to War Wagons and Flail Infantry (Superior Heavy Weapon mediums similar to the Dacian Falxmen you see in FoG2). The other units they'd use would be massed crossbows, handgunners, and early cannons.

The main problem we found with Hussites in all previous tabletop miniature wargames rules is that Hussites are absolutely no fun to play against. If there is anything we can do in the rules to improve on that, it would be good.

Happy to do so! If I can, I'll put together a document with potential unit types, how the war wagon could work, and any thoughts on the tactical strengths and weaknesses of the armies based on the general meta of the games.rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 8:53 am Remind me of this closer to the time. Haha, I can see that. Zizka's apparently perfect battle record is quite the obstacle to overcome.

Where is it?
Unless I have gone insane, it is February the fourth, the release date, but I cannot find an announcement that it is actually out or any place to buy it on the Matrix website.
I have been waiting for a long time, along with many others, and cannot understand why I cannot buyr it.
Please explain. Or just make it available for purchase.
